After a few days of studying, it was finals week. Zak studied very hard for this time's finals because...

Flashback

"Hey..." Zak mumbled after exiting the library, his cheeks burning red, his heartbeat quickened.

"Hmmm?" Dave replied, taking a sip of water from his water bottle.

"Look, we were friends for a long time. Uhh, you see, we have been through so many things together, whether or not they were happy or sad things. Uhmm, I may have started to develop feelings for you... I think I like you, Dave." Zak murmured, playing with his fingers nervously. He was afraid to look at Dave.

"I see..." Dave said calmly, trying not to laugh at Zak. The way Zak struggled at figuring out the rights words to say was so adorable. Dave noticed that Zak was blushing deeply, this was definitely NOT a joke. Zak stayed silent, waiting for Dave's reply.

"Well, I'll tell you the answer if you did well in your Maths exam," Dave chuckled, "Trying to make things more fun and exciting right here."

"Ahhh, whyyyy?" Zak yelled, playfully slapping Dave's arm. Dave almost spilled his water.

"Hey! I'm holding my water bottle!" Dave said. Zak gave him a playful grin.

End of flashback

Zak walked towards the examination room. People around him were all holding their textbooks, trying to memorize the formulas at the last second. However, Zak was well prepared, he memorized all the formulas very well already. He was confident that he could get a high mark in his Maths exam.

The bell rang soon after Zak arrived at the door of the examination room. Students started entering the room one by one, eyes still on their textbooks. Zak settled down at his seat, taking out his necessary stationary. He looked around and saw Dave stepped into the room, not holding any textbooks in his hands, just like him earlier. Everyone looked at Dave when he entered the room. Everyone knows Dave always gets the highest mark in class. No one knows how he could top the class. He is a genius at everything. Dave walked to Zak's nearby seat and sat there.

"Sup?" Dave greeted.

"oh, uhhh hi." Zak greeted back. He realized he just zoned out. He found himself staring at his crush the whole time. He started to feel nervous as he slowly turned his head away from Dave, discontinuing the awkward eye contact between them.

"Okay class please take away all the study materials and your mobile phones. The exam will start soon." The teacher announced.

"Wish you luck." Dave winked at Zak. Zak's stomach was full of butterflies, his cheeks turning crimson.

The teacher started distributing the exam papers. Zak decided to concentrate on the exam, forgetting the flirtatious wink from Dave earlier.

==Time Skip==

Zak was nervous.

Today was the day that he would receive his exam result. He hoped that he would get a high mark in the Maths exam, and most importantly, knowing the answer from Dave.

Zak walked towards the teacher, his hands receiving the exam paper. He looked at the marks. A sigh of relief escaped from his lips.

45.5/50

He returned to his seat, smiling to himself. He looked at Dave as he received his exam paper too. Dave smiled as he returned to his seat.

"What did you get?" Zak asked curiously.

"48.5/50. How about you?"

"45.5" Zak answered, smiling sheepishly at Dave.

"Hey, that's pretty good." Dave said, putting his arm around Zak's shoulders, "I guess I need to give you my answer then. Follow me when school's over."

The teacher went through the exam paper with the class and soon after, the school bell rang. Since Maths was their last class, school's over for that day.

Dave stood up, signalling Zak to follow him. Zak packed up his belongings and followed Dave. They went to a hidden garden behind the school ground.

"So... Wanna know the answer?" Dave smirked.

"Of course!" Zak blurted, "It's been sooo long!"

"I love you too." Dave answered, giving Zak a warm smile.

Zak suddenly pulled Dave's collar down, so that Dave's face was close to his. Dave was surprised at his actions. He had never seen Zak like this before.

Then, their lips collide. Zak's arms around Dave's neck. After a short while, they pulled away. There was an awkward silence between them, staring into each other's eyes.

"Uh, I'm sorry. Is it too sudde-"

Zak got cut off as Dave pinned him against the wall. His hand on the cheek of the shorter boy. Their lips touched once again, this time longer. This time it was Zak that was surprised. He didn't expect Dave would actually go along with it. His heart was pounding fast, his mind full of joy.

"I love you, Dave."

"Love you too, Zak."
