It was another week at Monster High!

"Alright. Week two. I survived the first week, I could do it again." Astrid hopped off the carriage, mumbling to herself.

"Bye Daddy." Cleo waved to her father as she left the carriage.

Not long after that the carriage left with Ramses, Nefera, and the royal servant's.

Oh shoot!

"U-uh! Thank you!" Astrid called out to the royal servant's. The youngest daughter of Ramses De Nile had decided to make an effort to thank the royal servant's whenever they dropped her off at school and picked her up. After all, they did often have to get on their hands and knees so they royal family can use them as their stepping stools. Quite sad really. But she just has to remind herself that this is just what life is in the De Nile family name.

"I hope they heard me." Astrid trailed off in a whisper.

"Even if they didn't, I'm sure the whole school will let them know."

"What?"

Astrid then took a look around herself and squeaked. Cleo put a hand on her hip, leaning on a leg and giving Astrid a smug look.

"Don't let that shyness bubble up. De Nile's never show an form of no confidence." The older sibling linked her arms with the younger, walking her into school.

During the first week of school, Cleo had been paying a bit attention to Astrid despite the first few days when she would quickly leave to chat with friends. She's actually been keeping a close eye on her. And one thing she noticed was this nervousness that seemed to follow her around everywhere. Walking into school, picking a seat in class, lunch tables and even partners for class projects.

"I, Cleo De Nile, will help you fit in more at Monster High." Cleo stated proudly.

"You will?"

"Of course! After all, I am your beloved big sister! And you're a De Nile! De Nile's always on top!"

Astrid opened her mouth but no words came out. She continued to do so, trying to find her voice. The on looks of students was making her nervous.

The two stopped but Astrid barely noticed, still trying to find her speaking voice in the sea of uncertainty.

"You look like a fish." Cleo commented.

It was now lunch; meaning most of the students were off spending the 40 minutes to however they desired-as long as it was on school grounds.

Astrid sat outside the giant and lively school. She ventured a little further from the building, finding herself with the trees near the football field. She sat down under a tree for shade.

"I wonder how far I could go out until I'm off school grounds." She wondered aloud to herself.

The football field was honestly as expected from what she's seen in various magazines.

Athletic guys playing a quick game, ghouls and guys more in touch with their feminine side on the side lines, chatting happily. In fact, this set up seemed to be similar everyday-well, everyday since she's been there.

Astrid sat alone leaning against the tree, letting her eyes wonder to other students to clouds, grass, and even little creatures that would appear from afar in the forest.

Her eyes briefly landed on a small fluffy creature with a big fluffy tail. 'Odd' she simply thought. As her gaze passed it however, the creature suddenly looked further into the forest.

It's head snapped into the direction of the deeper forest, like something caught it's attention. And it just kept staring that way.

Astrid started feeling uneasy so she took a look in the direction the creature was looking. Nothing. Just more trees.

It was like everything went quiet though, as her heart started racing and her breathing being the only thing audible.

*TWINCH*

"Ah!" The young girl squeaked.

The little brown creature dashed forwards, diving into bushes as it got further into the forest.

Astrid let out a big sigh of relief. It was only the creature.

"For a second there I thought their was danger. Huehue." Astrid quietly laughed to herself in relief.

Suddenly another little brown furry creature came running down a near by tree. It dashed off into the direction the first one room off too.

"Somethings there." Astrid whispered to herself in disbelief.

She grabbed her bag and held it to her chest as she looked between the school and the forest.

If she went in the forest to investigate she could easily run back to Monster High in case of any danger. Right?

"Sure. Sure. I'm sure it's fine if I walk a little further into the woods." Astrid tried to convince herself that what she was doing wasn't stupid.

So far she seemed successful.

"I'm in the woods and could get in truble, doo-daa, doo-daa. I might die here, because I'm stupid, doo-daa, doo-daa." She took a deep breathe in. "Yeah right singing is gonna save my butt."

She neared a big bush, and behind it she could hear little pidder padders of...feet?

"Huh? Is it you little fuzz ball?" Astrid pushed a few branches to the side.

What she expected was some family fuzz ball meeting. I mean it seemed like it made sense to her. But what she got instead was a number of small furry brown creatures, and a ghoul in the middle of their gather.

"Braix?"

"Oh uh...hi."

I'm so sorry for the long wait for an update. I made sure to make this chapter a bit longer than the usual ones :)
