Late

*Astrid POV*

Not long after that brief meeting in the forest, Braix and I headed back to the school in a hurry.

"I can't believe lunch is already almost over." I panted.

Braix ran ahead of me by a bit. "I didn't think we were this far off campus!"

We both panted as we jogged back to the school. We had talked for a bit in the forest. Once again reconnecting with one another. Maybe this time we can be friends. So far we seem like decent acquaintances.

"And we made it." Braix stopped on the schools football field. The school bell just rung as she made it.

"We still gotta get to class!" I ran past her.

"Ug!" She groaned but continued her jog. This time speeding up a bit, considering we were already, most definitely, late for class.

We quickly went into the school. The only students we saw were students who had a free class this period.

"Lucky." I breathed out as I slowed down a bit.

"Come on." Braix grabbed my elbow.

"No running." A staff member called out to us.

"K." I replied.

"Sorry." Braix apologized.

Braix and I walked side by side. We watched the teacher turn the corner before we started running down the halls again.

We came to a stop at the classroom.

I took a look at my books and materials to see if I had everything I needed for this class.

Braix stood next to me.

"You don't have to wait for me." I said.

"I don't mind. Plus...I forgot my books. So would it be okay if I sit next to you and we share?" She asks a bit hesitantly.

I smiled, "Sure."

While I was looking through everything, we heard a few words from the professor that immediately caught our attention.

"It is essential that monsters always be prepared for Halloween."

Hooray! We're starting with Monster High: Ghouls Rule! A personal fave monster high movie of mine. I'm so excited!
