The next few days went just as usual. Kris only saw Elena when they were in history class. So he took his sweet time to adore the new found beauty. She was always the same, wearing that same dark coloured hoodie which was a little over sized. But he did notice a couple of things he failed to notice in their first interaction. She had a fading bruise on her right temple and a fresh bandage on her left wrist, but it would've almost gone unnoticed if he wasn't looking so hard. Either she wore those long sleeve to cover up her bruises or it was just her type. But either way, it did a great job at hiding those wounds from the outsiders.
On the other hand, Elena, was all the same. She didn't pay any attention to the class, which was, normal. A couple of times, she did get kicked out from the class, which was also, normal. But what not quite normal was, she went back to ignoring Kris like he didn't even exist, which clearly made Kris feel disappointed.
Kris found Junmyeon at the cafeteria in their lunch period. Surprisingly, Junmyeon was alone, which was good because Kris wanted to meet him alone too.
"Hey," Kris grabbed the seat next to Junmyeon.
"Oh hey, you coming to the party tonight?"
"I don't know. Haven't thought about it yet." Kris shrugged, stuffing a mouthful of salad into his mouth.
Junmyeon chuckled, "Since when did you have to think about joining a party, Kris?"
"Since today, I guess." Kris muttered, chewing his food.
"Don't talk with your mouth full." Junmyeon commented, elbowing Kris in the ribs.
"Ouch! It hurts!" Kris yelled in pain.
"You sound uncharacteristically happy, did something happen?" Junmyeon raised an eyebrow, watching his friend closely. Which to Kris only shrugged.
"Nah, nothing happened. Oh anyway, I almost forgot, I heard that Yoona asked you out?" This time it was Kris who raised an eyebrow.
Junmyeon just shrugged, "Yes she did, but you know i'm not into girls right?"
"I know. But, I kinda wanted to know for sure." Kris said, smiling. Knowing Junmyeon wasn't into her somehow felt, nice. Not because he was jealous, no. Maybe because he knew she was a bitch all along, so he just didn't want his bestfriend to fall into that trap like he did once.
"Why? Do you care?" Junmyeon looked him in the eyes this time, voice tainting uncertainty.
"No! No no... You know i'm over her. And... You know... I... I like Elena now." Kris immediately denied.
"Oh yeah, that reminded me, how's Elena? Any progress?" Now Junmyeon sounded interested.
But Kris just shrugged, his tone clearly disappointing. "Nope. She went back to being the mysterious girl she was again."
"Oh, well that's too bad." Junmyeon didn't know what else to say.
And that's when a certain girl came barging into their table.
"There you are! Finally! I was beginning to go crazy just from trying to find you!" She breathed hard, staring at the two with those same intensive eyes.
Kris and Junmyeon exchanged a look. They had no idea what was the commotion.
"Elena," Kris started, but got cut off by the said girl's voice again.
"Are you Junmyeon?" She completely ignored Kris as she focused her gaze on the shorter male. Kris felt clearly frustrated, humiliated, and hurt. But he kept his mouth shut.
On the other hand, Junmyeon looked terrified. His eyes wide as he stared back at the girl.
"Y-Yeah. That's me." He replied in a small voice, probably shaking in fear.
Elena sighed in relief. "Oh good! Now listen, Sehun likes you okay. I'm saying this because of my sake, because he's driving me crazy by making me hear his lovesick nonsense every freaking day! I will surely lose my mind if I have to endure that nonsense for another day! So do me a favor and go at least meet him, Ya? Because since he can't seem to man himself up and just come to you." She took a deep breath before continuing, "But if you take advantage of him and hurt him because of that, I will fuckin' have your balls. Do I make myself clear?"
The porcelain skinned boy just stared at her with widened eyes, mouth hanging low as he opened his mouth to say something but then closed it again. And he did that a multiple times. One look at him and Elena knew he wouldn't hurt a fly. She smirked to herself, feeling at ease now that she had finally let that out. He had a handsome face, Sehun gotta nice taste at least. She thought to herself.
After another couple of minutes, she grew tired of the same silent treatment she was given. She almost laughed looking at the duo's dumb faces as they kept staring at her like she was an alien.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you off but you know, I was clearly frustrated. But can you now stop looking at me like that? It's kinda creepy." She finally commented, unable to just stand there like an idiot hoping for them to speak first.
That must had snapped them out of the trance of thoughts they're having in their little brains because Kris seemd like he needed to say something. So she waited, patiently.
"Elena, we are having this party tonight at Junmyeon's place and, you can come to the party if you want. And I would love to- I mean, we will be glad to see you there. And of course, bring Sehun with you. So he can, you know... meet Junmyeon and all..." Kris stated after he finally found his voice again and smiled sheepishly. Junmyeon looked like he was still having a midlife crisis as he still kept looking at her with the same terrified expression on his face.
"You okay with that?" Elena asked Junmyeon, and to that he nodded his head, still unable to form a word.
"Then it's done." She finally smiled at them before walking away. Yeah, she smiled. And Kris' heart started flying across the moon.
"What just happened?" Junmyeon finally asked, his voice was almost inaudible. But it still succeeded to bring Kris back down to earth.
