I woke up to my alarm clock ringing. I slammed my hand on it and rubbed my face. I got up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, and curled and sprayed my hair. I ran downstairs and saw Steve eating breakfast. I ran past him and put an Eggo waffle in the toaster. Ahhh Eggo Waffles, the best breakfast food. I sat down next to Steve and looked at the table. I saw him shoving food into his mouth.
"That's disgusting" I said
"Shut up" he said
A few seconds later my waffles popped. I grabbed them and ate them quickly.
"Let's go" I said to Steve putting my backpack on my back.
Steve rolled his eyes and got up grabbing his backpack and opening up the door. I ran outside and got in his car. I threw my back pack in front of me and Steve got in the car and started driving. We got to the Middle School and I ran out of the car.
"Bye" I said and closed the door.
I went to the bike slots to see the boys bikes already there. Weird Will's bike isn't there. I walked to the entrance of the school and saw Mike, Dustin and Lucas standing there. I was about to walk over to them but I saw Troy and James. They bullied the boys, not me as much because they were scared of my brother. I hid behind the wall peaking my head out to watch them.
"Step right up, ladies and gentlemen! Step right up and get your tickets for the freak show!" Troy said
"Who do you think would make more money at a freak show: 'Frogface,' 'Midnight,' or 'Toothless?'" Troy said pushing them as he called them these crude nicknames.
"Ooof. Tough call, tough call. I'd go with Toothless." James said
"My teeth are coming in, I told you a million times, it's called cleidocranial dysplasia" Dustin said
"I told you a million times" James said mocking Dustin's lisp
"Do the arm thing." Troy said to Dustin
"Do it, freak." James said
I heard a crack and I knew that Dustin did his arm trick thing.
I decide it's enough and I barge over to the boys
"Hey, leave them alone" I said to Troy and James
"Oh really? And what are you gonna do Harrington?" Troy asked
"Maybe not me, but you both know my older brother Steve. And maybe he'll do something to you douche bags" I said stepping closer to them
They backed away and said "Whatever"
Then they turned around and pushed past the boys.
"Thanks Y/n" Lucas said
"Yeah that was cool of you" Mike said
I smiled and said "No problem guys, sorry I didn't come sooner"
"Those guys are Numbskulls!" Lucas said
"... I think it's cool. It's like a superpower or something. Like Mr. Fantastic." Mike said to Dustin
"Yeah, except I can't fight evil with it." Dustin said
"Hey, where's Will?" I asked
"We don't know. We think he might have come in early" Dustin said
I shrugged my shoulders and we all walked inside. When we got into Mr. Clarke's room we saw that Will wasn't there. Before I could say anything the bell rang signaling that class was starting.
