The heat of two suns pounds onto the sands of Tatooine from above. The sunlight is blinding as it reflects off of the ground and into the eyes of those who go without eye protection. There is no specific smell in the air, just the plain scent of rolling sand hills and a lack of civilization for miles to come. The faint purr of engines coming from within bustling vehicles of a convoy is the only sound to break the breezes of the desert. Kneeling atop a white rock ridge line is a Mandalorian donning black and red armor, equipped with a long rifle of some sort, and to his side is a mere child- no older than 13.
"You've been keeping up with your practicing, I hope?" The Mandalorian prompts his partner, eyes trained on the convoy below through the visor of his helmet. The convoy consists of three vehicles; a larger one in the center, led and tailed by two gunner vehicles.
"I have," the teenager responds shortly, her eyes squinting as they take detailed mental notes about the situation. "You want me to drop their engines, yeah?" She asks, scanning the vehicles for the most likely spot where each engine would be located.
"How you choose to handle the smaller speeders is up to you," the Mandalorian responds carelessly, his tone relaxed on the subject, "so long as you safely disable the largest one. Remember- the bounty says the minister is to be taken warm."
"One toasty minister, coming up then," the girl responds with a curt nod, removing her leather gloves and setting them to the side in the hot sand. She brings her rugged hands together, palm to palm, and rubs them against one another in a circular fashion. She closes her eyes, and exhales slowly, pushing both palms away from herself and toward the convoy that is passing right in front of them now. Her eyes open, and she manipulates the Force surrounding all three vehicles, abruptly stopping the front speeder in it's place. This causes the larger vehicle, as well as the back speeder, to stop sharply.
"Good, now disable them," The Bounty Hunter urges, watching excitedly as his partner performs something he used to think he'd never get to witness in person. The girl's fingers manipulate, and as the two speeders start to lift in the air, a loud chnk can be heard, which is the sound of the largest vehicle's engine block falling out of the frame. The girl turns the speeders in air to point toward the main transport, each driver failing to be able to do anything with the controls. "Nice work, Ava," the man laughs, grabbing her gloves and stuffing them in his cargo pouch. She follows slowly as he slides down the hill and rapidly approaches the convoy.
The top of the transport opens shortly after the Mandalorian takes aim with his blaster and executes the two transporters in each speeder, leaving just himself, the girl, and whomever is in the remaining transport. Out of the open hatch suddenly appears a man with a shoulder-mounted weapon, taking aim for the bounty hunters. As Ava sees this, she triggers both of the speeders to fire, which each manage to strike the vehicle nearby his position, without hitting him.
"Alright, alright! We surrender!" The man shouts cowardly, his hands raised in the air in defeat. Ava takes in the details of the man as she releases the speeders, allowing them to crash onto the ground loudly. She notices his commoner face, like her own- the black hair with grey streaks, and the greyish-black stubble littering his jawline and neck. His blue eyes shine brilliantly, even in the blinding light of Tatooine's suns, they seem to outshine even the glare.
"All of you, come out of the transport slowly- one by one, and at my call. If anyone comes out before I say so, I'll shoot the one who last came out, sound fair?" The Mandalorian prompts the passengers, before continuing without their response, "good. Climb on out of there now, you." The Bounty Hunter aims his long rifle at the man skillfully, following him with ease as he struggles his way down the exterior of the transport. Once off, he lays in the sand face down, hands away from his body. "Next!" He calls, then turning halfway to Ava, "grab the chits and check if there are any other contracts here."
"Got it," Ava nods curtly, taking a small pouch full of grey disks out of her cargo pouch. She searches through each of them until finding one that matches the description of the first man, then expands the details to ensure that's their contract. Once confirmed, she sets the chit into a holder on her left gauntlet, reserved for contracts that just need to be turned in she does this repeatedly as more people deboard the transport, until there are three contracts and no more passengers.
"Looks like it's an unlucky day for you three then," the Mandalorian looks at the three noncontracts, raising a blaster toward them. "Would you like to do any of the honors?" He looks back to Ava, lowering his blaster halfway down.
"It would be my pleasure," she smirks, stepping around her mentor and looking down upon the three remaining passengers. "When you get the chance," Ava chuckles preemptively are her own quip, "say hello to the Jedi Order while you're there." Ava's fingers comes to be tight fists, thrusted into the air suddenly and unexpectedly. The three passengers are thrusted into the air and start screaming in agony as their heads pound, the sheer power of the Force crushing their skulls inward, until each of them inevitable cave in, dying midair.
"You're one evil sonofabitch, Ava," the Bounty Hunter clicks his tongue and shakes his head as he looks down at the three carcasses, impressed and secretly a little horrified by the young girl he calls his partner in crime.
