Happy

Today I felt like a child again, 
I laughed a lot. 
I never really laugh like that anymore, 
But I wish I did. 

I didn't cry, 
And I was happy. 

It felt so nice. 

I never worried about what I was saying, 
Or how I was acting, 
Or school. 

Because that's what you do to me, 
You make me feel like a kid again.

Talking with you, 
Eating pizza and ice cream, 
That is what makes me happy, 
Happier than anything else. 

Better than stories, 
And birthdays, 
And Christmas, 
And campfires,
And Adventures, 
And stars,
And the way it looks when light hits raindrops on stormy days.

I wonder if I ever make you feel like that, 
I wonder if you have ever cried because you missed me, 

I have. 

I have cried more for you more than anyone else. 

Because I miss the way you make me feel, 
Because you are my best friend, 
And you make me happy.
