Clint didn't think that the fluorescent lights in the room were very bright at all when he had first come in. Now at six in the morning, it was brighter and harsher than the sun, which could perfectly be used as their light if Dauntless did not live in a 300 foot deep pit. He groaned and rolled over to hide his face in the coarse sheets. He thought that they'd leave him alone for a few more minutes, but his head was quickly cuffed by somebody small, but powerful. Clint groaned again.
"Wha was that for?" He whined groggily. "We have to get showered and dressed, you idiot. Dauntless is very precise about their time." He begrudgingly climbed off down to the floor and saw that Natal-Natasha had been the one talking to him. She was already in the suit they had been given. "What, they can't even take a minute off?" He complained but went towards the showers.

Fifteen minutes later they all stood in an area separate from a huge room that contained fighting rings, walls of weapons, boxing rings and physical training galore. Clint was very impressed and even more excited - there was half a wall lined with bows and quivers for each. Coulson, the man that had been with them on the train, stood before the young trainees. Unlike Fury and Maria, he seemed proud of them already. Clint was already itching to prove he could do well.
"The first part of your training is to learn how to use weapons. Anybody who uses weapons in this faction could never be as good as they are with weapons as they are with fists. Weapons are important." Coulson paused for emphasis and went on. "The first thing we use is guns."
He took handguns from a place on the wall and pressed them into the teenagers' palms. "These are standard issue, nothing special. Safety is not on, because we expect our initates to have common sense. Hold your gun in between your dominant hand's thumb and index finger, then grip with every finger but your pinkie."
Clint looked down at his hand, carefully placing it like Coulson described. He had no experience with firearms whatsoever and a pit of nerves were opening in his stomach. He glanced over to see that Natasha already had it perfectly in her hand, index finger hovering near the trigger.
"Place the middle of your first joint on your index finger. When I say fire, you will fire at the target in front of you only." Coulson suddenly whirled around and a second later a black hole had bloomed in the middle of a target on another site. "Locking your wrist will also help steady it."
Clint's eyes widened. This guy was good, better than he had thought Dauntless would be. Sure they have guns, Clint had thought once, but they probably don't use them that much. He snickered. Apparently not.
"Now, you may shoot." He moved to the side and Clint held his arms out, careful to see that everything was right. The initiate was about to fire when he jumped at a loud bang, like a large sheet of plastic had been broken in half. He looked at the targets and found that the one to his right had already been shot at. Not too far away from the center was another black hole.

Her arms lowered to her sides and Natasha assessed the damage. Right where she had wanted it, though nobody but Coulson could tell that. If he had been watching, which she had checked that he was not. Gazes turned to look at Natasha but she indifferently looked to their instructor. "Go back to shooting. We don't have all day, kids." He told the others and smiled at Natasha, walking over.
"Excellent for someone who just came in yesterday. At the end of initiation I won't be surprised if you're the best." She shrugged. You have no idea. "What's your name again?" He asked. "Natal-sha. Natasha. Romanoff." Coulson nodded. "Well Romanoff, I'll get you another bullet and we'll see if you can do better."
