Chapter 29

Matt POV
"This is bad!" I exclaimed to Kendra and Nash when we were back in my room. "She's dating Sam and now I will never get her back." "Relax, maybe she is doing the same thing you are," Nash said to me. I thought about it for a moment. It was quite possible but I doubted a beautiful girl like her would have to try to make me jealous. I laid down on my bed and sighed. "Well Kendra, looks like you might be coming with us to New York," I said. "Are you kidding me?" she said. I could tell she was getting bored with this quickly. "No, you don't have to if you don't want to. I'm sorry for making you do this," I said. She took my hand. "Just tell her how you feel. I could tell by the way she looked at you that she still has feelings for you no matter what happened in the past-," Kendra stopped what she was saying and grinned. "I have an idea," she said after a moment. "What!" I asked excitedly. "Well Nash was telling me about how you guys kissed in the elevator when it got stuck. Maybe if we get you two in it alone again, you can push the emergency button which will stop the elevator. I'll bribe the manager to let us go through with this," Kendra said. She continued talking about what to do. After about half an hour we finished planning and Kendra went to bribe the manager.

Kendra POV
"Hey," I said seductively to a boy who looked about my age at the front desk. "Um hi," he said grinning slightly. "Can you help me with something?," I asked sweetly. I assumed he was like the manager's son or something. "Depends on what you need help on," he said leaning closer to me. "My friend sitting over there, Matthew Espinosa, needs your help. He likes a girl in your with him and well I'll cut to the chase. I need you to stop the elevator when we get him and her in it alone," I said all in one breath. He looked at me thinking for a moment. "I'm not sure if I have the power to do that and this is a thirty floor hotel. People would hate to walk up the stairs-" I put my finger to his lips. Matt owed me big time for what I'm about to do. "Maybe a date would change your mind?" I said removing my finger. He smirked. "I guess I could talk to my uncle, the manager, and see what I could do." He walked into a back room and I heard him talking. He came back out moments later. "My uncle said we could arrange the elevator to stop working but for only a few moments so we aren't a burden to the guests." I smiled. "Thank you so much!" I exclaimed. "And about our date how would say seven tonight work?" the boy asked me. "Sure, and I'm Kendra by the way," I said. "Cole," the boy said. I said bye and walked over to Matt. "You're in," I said and he hugged me. "Look!" Nash whispered loudly shaking us both. Sam and Court were at the front door taking pictures with some fans. "Okay Matt go wait in the elevator and I'll have Cole over there stop it. Nash you distract Sam."

Matt POV
I waited in the corner of the elevator. I was so nervous. If I couldn't win Court back now there would be no use to try again. The door opened and I watched Court make her way over while Nash was talking to Sam. Luckily no one seemed to be needing the elevator right now so the plan was working. Court walked into the elevator and pressed the button to our floor. The elevator started to go up and she turned around surprised when she saw me. "Ma-Matt?" she said and the elevator came to a stop.
