Longful memoirs

I often feel the common plight
As I remember eyes like a starry night

The heart may stop and often linger
From the slightest graze of a finger

For love knoweth not the bounds of mind
One often hears of a love that's blind

But even though my mind is sound
The extent of love knows no bound

It knoweth not the rules of life
Only of that which feels natural and right

So although I sit here in the rain
I have no choice but to relive my pain

Memories flash of days that passed
Moments I hoped would forever last

But as I lie here in the night
I now know my mind was right
