Chapter 15

2 weeks later
McKenzie's POV:
It's been 2 weeks since Josh took me out on a date. We've been the happiest ever since. Going out on cute little dates around LA, shopping, and overall just having fun. But lately, I've been feeling really sick. Like I wake up every morning and throw up. I eat way to much but then just throw it up. And I'm having the weirdest cravings, like french fries and icecream. Anyway, today was one of those days. I woke up around 5 and I've been throwing up ever since. Then I remembered something... That night.. at the beach. Did we use a condom? I don't remember. My thoughts are interrupted when someone lightly knocks on the door.

Josh: hey you okay baby
The tiredness is evident in his voice
McKenzie: yeah I'm fi-
I get cut off by vomit pressing through my lips.
Josh comes in and holds my hair back, and lightly rubbing the pad of his thumb on my back
Josh: You're okay baby, you're okay
He whispers
I finish throwing up and flush the toilet.
I fall into Josh's bare chest and start to cry.
Josh:hey, baby it's okay. You're gonna be okay.  Don't cry please babe
He starts to hug me and rub his hand up and down my back
McKenzie: You- You need to take me to the store.
Josh: Why?
I'm afraid to tell him that I might be pregnant, so I lie
McKenzie: I just need to get some medicine.
Josh: okay baby, do you want me to go and you stay here and rest?
McKenzie: No, baby I'm okay. I'll go with you
Josh: Are you sure?
McKenzie: Yes baby I'm sure
Josh: Okay baby

3rd Person POV
McKenzie gets up and goes out the bathroom to get ready, Josh doing the same. As she's getting ready, she noticed that she has gained weight. She sighs, and grabs one of Josh's sweatshirts and slips it over her head. After they are done, they go to the store, Josh insists on going inside with McKenzie but she refused. Once she got into the store she went to the family isle and bought 2 packets of pregnancy tests. One regular and one digital. After that, she goes into the medicine isle and gets some random medication to help neausea.
Once she's done she pays for everything and throws the receipt away, and stuffs the pregnancy tests in her pocket. As soon as they got home, McKenzie runs to the bathroom and closes/locks the door.

Josh: Hey baby can I come in?
McKenzie: No babe I'm okay
Josh: Are you sure?
McKenzie: Yeah babe I'm sure. Listen why dont you go and hang out with the boys or something, do something without me. I'll be fine
Josh: Babe but-
McKenzie: No buts, go. I'll be fine, don't worry
Josh: Ok- I guess I'll be back.. I love you
McKenzie: I love you too
And then he left
After she hears the door close, she pulls down her pants and takes both tests. After she's done, she flushes the toilet and washes her hands, and sets a timer on her phone for 5 minutes

5 minutes later
McKenzie hears the timer go off. She's so nervous that she's shaking. She quickly turned both tests around and saw that one had 2 lines, indicating that she was pregnant. But it could be a false positive right? No, she looked at the digital test and it said that she was pregnant by 2 weeks. She covers her mouth

McKenzie: Oh my God. What am I gonna do. I'm only 16
Then she thought of something. She took her phone and dialed her best friend, Cynthia's number

Cynthia: What's up love?
McKenzie: I need you to come over now
Cynthia: What's wrong are you okay?
McKenzie: not really. Just- just please come over
Cynthia: I'll be there in 5
And then she hung up.
McKenzie patiently, impatiently waited for Cynthia's arrival. Meanwhile....

Josh: She's been acting really weird lately
Anthony: You think she's been cheating?
Josh: No not like that. She been acting sick. Like every morning she's waking up and going to the bathroom to throw up, not to mention she's eating so much.
Jaden: I think I know what's wrong
Anthony: I think so too bro
Josh: today she asked me to take her to the store, and wouldn't let me go with her. And after she kicked me out of the house.
Jaden: Can't you see bro
Anthony: she's pregnant
Josh: That's what I thought
Jaden: When was the last time you guys did it?
Josh: 2 weeks ago
Anthony: how long has this been going on?
Josh: ....2 weeks
Jaden: You're gonna be a dad!
Anthony: Are you excited?
Josh: Hell yeah I am. Guys, I want to spend the rest of my life with this girl. She's so special. To leave her while she's carrying my child, that's a dick move.
Jaden: Congrats bro
Anthony: Yeah congrats man, you did good
Then they all laugh

Cynthia arrives at the house and quickly goes up the stairs to McKenzie's room to see her crying on her bed
Cynthia: Hey bub what's wrong? Did Josh hurt you? Imma beat his as-
McKenzie: No Cynthia it's okay he didn't hurt me. But he might leave me after I tell him.
Cynthia: Why what happened? Did you cheat?
McKenzie: In pregnant...
Cynthia: It's Josh's right?
McKenzie: Yes Cynthia. I would never cheat on him
Cynthia screams from the top of her lungs
Cynthia: WHOOHOO!!! IM GONNA BE AN AUNT!!!
Cynthia starts jumping and singing loudly.
Cynthia: I'm gonna be an aunt, in gonna be an aunt.
McKenzie just sits on her bed, laughing at her best friends reaction to her being pregnant.
Cynthia: Wait, why aren't you happy?
McKenzie: I am, just I'm so young. And I'm afraid that Josh will leave me.
Cynthia: First, Josh will never leave you, he's not that type of person. And second, be happy girl! You know that me, Josh and your friends and brothers are gonna help you get through this. Don't stress  just be happy that your gonna be a mom! AHH IM SO EXCITED!!!
Cynthia's excitement and McKenzie's laughter gets interrupted by someone yelling through the house.

Josh: Babe I'm home!
Mckenzie whispers to Cynthia
McKenzie: what am I gonna do
Cynthia: Just tell him girly. He's not gonna leave you, I promise. Do you want me to leave?
McKenzie: no please don't, just act like you're leaving when he comes up here
Josh: Hey babe- oh hey Cynthia. Didn't know you were here
Cynthia: I was just leaving. I'll see you guys later, bye
McKenzie: Bye Cynth
Josh: Bye Cynthia, it was nice seeing you.
Cynthia: Nice seeing you to
And she left
McKenzie: Josh I uh... I need to tell you something. And please don't get mad and don't leave me.
Josh: What's up baby?
McKenzie just stays quiet and hands Josh the pregnancy tests. He looks at them and then pick's up McKenzie and yells.
Josh: IM GONNA BE A DAD!!!
He then outs her down and kisses her passionately.....
