We will survive

{Chapter 4💕}

Sicheng's pov

I was one of the first ones to get checked in. As I walked into the cave, I stopped near the entrance and waited for the others to come too. Chenle and Renjun noticed where I was and walked over to me. Ten hyung was helping Jisung. and lastly was Jeminah. she looked a little bit distracted so I took a hold of her wrist and guided her to the place where we would work today. "We should help Jisung today so he can rest." I whispered to Jeminah. She looked at me and nodded in agreement.
We kept walking deeper and finally came to our spot. We settled Jisung down and covered him up a bit, so the soldiers wouldn't see him...then we started working.

Hours passed and I started to feel weak from all the work. I glanced at Ten, Chenle, Renjun and Jem who were still focused on mining. Dark dots started to fill my vision...I tried to ignore it but couldn't. Jeminah looked at me her tired eyes turned in to smiling ones but then to worried ones...I gave her a smile trying to say that everything was okay, but I don't remember anything after that.

Jeminah's pov

My hands were hurting by now... every one of us was busy working. I looked up at Sicheng his eyes were tired and he seemed a bit distant. I started to get worried. Sicheng gave me a smile but then something happened in his eyes and he collapsed on the ground. "Sicheng!" I shouted running to him. Chenle and Renjun looked at our direction their eyes widened and they froze in panic. Ten quickly followed me and looked at Sicheng worriedly. He checked his pulse and breathing. Ten looked at me and nodded. I let out a sigh of relief.

I supported Sicheng while Ten was keeping his legs up. Slowly he started blinking his eyes again "shh it's okay, you just passed out for a moment." I said calmingly at him while stroking his hand. Sicheng tried to calm his breathing and kept looking around. "Jem do you have water?" Ten asked. I nodded "give it to Sicheng he needs it." I took a small bottle from my pocket and opened it for Sicheng. He drank the water and then Ten and I helped him to lean against the rock wall. "we should get back to work b-..." Ten said anxiously but it was too late.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!" "EVERY ONE OF YOU GET BACK TO WORK IMMEDIATELY!" a young-looking soldier looked down at us. Ten, Chenle and Renjun stood up, but I didn't bother also I didn't want to leave Jisung's nor Sicheng's side. "woman stand up and get to work!" the boy shouted at me. I just looked at him in the eyes. he got, even more, angrier and violently lifted his hand to hit me. Before he could do anything I stood up and took a hold of his wrist. "don't you dare to hit me or any of my friends." I said glaring at him...and should I just say it wasn't a wise idea. another soldier came towards us.

I felt the man push me down and tie my hands behind my back. I looked at the man who came to help the first soldier and it was him...the boy who I met outside. They both lifted me up I looked at every one of them in the eyes and lastly at Ten's "take care of Jisung and Sicheng, don't get yourself or the others hurt." I said to Ten while the two soldiers started yanking me away from the cave.

"young woman do you acknowledge that you have violated one of the laws that prevail in this world." the other man said...I kept my mouth shut, not saying anything...why did I have to do that?! I was so angry at myself. "I'm sorry to tell you this but things won't be looking good on you at the moment." the other one said then he continued: "Jaemin can you take her to the detention center." the boy named Jaemin nodded, I looked up at them my eyes widening. What?!
"Okay let's go." Jaemin announced.

Ten's pov

After they took Jeminah, Renjun tried to go after her but I had to stop him. "let me go...i need to save her!" he said frustrated. "let's get back to work." I said sadly "you do know what they are going to do to her right?!" Renjun said shouting at me "shut up, we don't want to cause a scene here!" I yelled back at him. I looked at Sicheng, Chenle and Jisung they all were upset. "if you don't want Jemimah's destiny I say we all start working now." I said quietly before going back to work.
