{Chapter 8💕}

Ten's pov

My head ached so much. "Ten are you awake?" I heard a familiar voice. could that be...my eyes shot open. I got up into a sitting position and was about to say something but the stinging pain stopped me. Putting my hands over my head I felt like my head would explode. I couldn't move or see anything everything was just pitch-black.

Someone laid me back down...after a few minutes, the pain started to fade. "J-jeminah?" was the only thing I said. "I'm here...your little sister is here, safe and sound." I felt her take my hand. At last, I was able to open my eyes and see her myself.

There she was sitting next to me...I sat up and embraced her immediately. "hey, it's only been a day...what's wrong?" She asked me worriedly.
" It's a just...nevermind...how is this even possible that I'm here with you," I asked confused
"you tell me...what did you do?" she asked.
"no, no I don't mean it like that...I mean normally everyone here is alone in their own cells."

"oh, that...well I helped two soldiers a bit."
"What?!" I said nearly yelling.
"There was an accident in the morning and I saved someone's life," she said brightly.
"and it was a soldier that you helped?" I asked in shock
"Ten, some of them aren't that bad," she said defending herself.
After what she said I couldn't control myself, the anger that I kept all these years strangely wanted to get free in this room.
"Jem, all of them are bad, they are monsters!" I yelled trying to bring her back to her senses.
"You know what will happen to you and me after a week right?!" I said in pure anger

She just looked at me...her eyes wide open.

"why in the world are you trusting in those two soldiers Jem?!"

She was still quiet

"why?!"

"because every one of us has a beating heart! I have it, Sicheng has it, so does Chenle, Renjun and Jisung and the one who thought me that was you! I know those two soldiers can't do anything bad and I can feel it in my own heart!" she yelled, her eyes full of tears.

Something clicked inside of me...I didn't know what it was...but it made me quiet. I couldn't believe what happened to me just a few minutes ago.

"Jem... I didn't mean...i'm sorry." I said...it was the first time I had yelled at her...what is wrong with me?
I quickly got over to Jemimah and hugged her. She was crying and I was too.
"I shouldn't have yelled at you... I'm sorry." I repeated that sentence over and over again. After a while, she calmed down and fell asleep in my embrace.
