In the Royal Suite, a few cats are seated, except for one. The cat who was standing had a similar shape to Queen Ami, except that she had dark and smoky grey markings instead of crisp auburn. A heart shaped gem is on her identical collar, but the gem appeared to be dark green instead of blue, like an emerald.

"I've seen them..." muttered the grey-pointed cat.

"Seen what?" The white-and-gray cat questioned. "Emi, I have no idea what you're talking about. Have you been seeing things out of the ordinary again?"

"Yes...I mean...no...I mean...I don't know..." Emi was lost in her speech. Her vision also became hazy like a foggy morning. "I saw...spirits...they're trying to tell me something!"

The white-and-silver cat's eyes widened and he looked at the other seated cats, who also appear to be Ami and Emi's relatives. "Say what?"

"I thought I saw one from the corner of my eye, Daiki," said a younger cat with chocolate-brown markings. She turned to the longhaired cat sitting to her left. "What about you, father?"

The cat placed one of his paws on his chin. "Hmm...this sounds interesting. It's like the spirits from the Otherrealms are coming out already. And it's not even the Bon Matsuri yet!"

"Exactly!" the chocolate-point tenneko exclaimed. "And when is Mum going to come here? She's been sitting on the throne for a while now."

"She'll be here soon. I know she will, Chouko," replied the striped colourpoint cat.

And it's a good thing me and Sosuke put little Megumi back in her room. thought Chouko. We shouldn't let her be too nosy.

Suddenly, knocking was heard from the closed doors in the room.

"Come in..." said the dazed Emi.

The doors opened, and Danny was seen in the doorway.

"We have a new visitor from another dimension! And she happens to be the owner of Tia!" Danny explained. "They both had a talk with Her Majesty Queen Ami."

Emi blinked in bewilderment. "What? A new visitor already? This...this isn't the right time!"

"It's too late. She's already here!" Danny responded. "And...Emi...you don't look so good. You should probably lie down."

"I suppose...Danny..." Emi tried to speak.

"Come on, Emi," said Daiki. "I'll help you get on the bed." The lynx-point cat sighed.

The two other cats: Chouko and Sosuke, looked at each other in befuddlement.

"Is she going to be alright?" asked the male chocolate-pointed cat.

"Yes, Minato." replied Daiki. "She's probably just exhausted."

"So exhausted she's seeing things..." Sosuke looked at Chouko.

Chouko's ears flattened in response. "Sosuke! Show some respect to my aunt! She's the Guardian of Knowledge for goodness sake!"

"Sorry." Sosuke scratched his ear.

As Emi was curled up on the bed like a ball, the Emerald of Wisdom was glowing. She also saw a faint trace of what appeared to be a Tenneko spectre.

"Who...are...you...?" Emi could barely speak.

Daiki, Minato, Chouko, and Sosuke looked up to see the spirit cat. Their eyes' widened at the sight.

"There will be a curse that will bring a mist from the uplands to make it difficult to tell friend from foe. However, three stars will rise in the upcoming twilight, who will not only clear the mist, but also eradicate the storm the darkness brung long ago."

"What do they mean?" Chouko glanced at Sosuke.

"I don't know!" the dark-coloured tenneko exclaimed.

"No, wait!" Emi rolled over to meet eyes with the cat again, but it was too late. The cat had vanished.

Once again, Chouko and Sosuke both looked at each other in bewilderment, and Minato and Daiki both narrowed their eyes.

"We're going to have to find out sooner or later."
