Inside the busy club, I followed Keith to a seating area composed of 3 large
sofas and a round table in the middle. I sat down, sinking deep into the worn out cushion.

"Wait here," he instructed gently.

"I'll go to the bar and get us something to drink. What would you like?"

"An ice water would be lovely."

He laughed, but nodded.

"Sure, I'll be right back."

I watched in awe as he walked away.

A moment later the pregnant woman from the limousine came over and sat on the couch opposite me.

Her big blue eyes glanced tiredly at me.

I gave her a hesitant smile. For some reason, she intimidated me just as much as the band members.

"I'm Charlotte," she announced, and her voice was lovely. I realized then she'd been silent the entire limo ride.

"Gwen," I replied, scooting a little closer toward her.

"How old are you?" She asked abruptly.

My confidence fell. I wanted to lie, but I felt she would detect it.
So I went with the truth.

"Fifteen."

She raised a thin, blond brow.

"You look at least eighteen," she said matter of factly.

"Thanks," I replied, unsure if she meant it as a compliment or not.

"It will be interesting," she mused.

"What will be?" I asked after a second or two.

She shook her head. "Nothing. Anyhow, do you like Keith?"

My cheeks turned red. "Well, yes."

"He likes you, too, I can tell. Just be cautious. Not everything is what it seems."

I said nothing.

"In fact, they all adore you, I'm sure. But Jimmy is mine," she stated with a smile. "Stay away from him."

I returned the smile, then my eyes flashed to her protruding stomach.

"When are you due?"

"Late Summer."

"Congratulations," I told her.
"That's so exciting."

"It would be more exciting if I had a ring on my finger. But I guess I don't blame him. His career is just getting started. Why would he want to settle down? Just because the girlfriend is about to have his child? No way. That's not Jimmy's style."

She smiled, but it didn't touch her eyes this time.

Keith returned then, and handed me a glass of water.

I thanked him and took a big sip.

"Do you want to go dance?" he asked, holding out a hand.
