CARTER'S P.O.V

How I stumbled through that day was a mystery to me. I constantly wanted to check back on my little pet, my Addison. I knew he was fine but I was nervous leaving him.

I walked swiftly through to my rooms,  nervously checking my watch. I heard his voice from the other side of the door. Another voice, sinister and strong. A voice I knew too well joined his. I burst through the door, seeing what I expected to see.

"Get away from Addison, Alpha" I spat at him, Addison was huddled in the corner of the bed whining. I went to him, and lightly kissed his forehead. I stood to my full height and glowered down at the alpha.

"Get away from my wolf" he snarled, baring his teeth as he tried to match my height.

"You don't even know his name" I laughed, shaking my head. "First, you take the role of alpha from me and now? Now you try to harm an innocent boy. My innocent mate. Get. Lost. Leto Thompson" I growled, and he ran out the door like he'd been scalded. I sat and put my arms around Addison, letting him cry into my scrubs.

"I'm so sorry pet. He won't bother you anymore. It's ok baby, I'm here" I cooed stroking his hair.

"Daddy, dada" he said babyishly

"Yeah, daddy's here now, my little pet is gonna be alright."
