( carmelo's pov)

Rudolph told me what happens to tobias when he goes home... I'll ask him if he wants to stay with us later...

My mom slowly walks up to me and sits down. "[ Carmelo...]" My mom said shifting in her seat to look at me.
"[What?]" I said turning to face her.

( I use these things [] cuz Idk what language they speak.)

"[They said they found something wrong with your friend and are going to need surgery to remove it...]" Mom said looking at tobias who was fast asleep. " [WHAT!?]" I said looking my mom in the soul. " "[ Carmelo lets pray he makes it through the surgery because not even they know what is wrong...]" Mom said making me feel worse... . they woke tobias up to put him on a wheel chare and told him he was going to need surgery. He looked scared but tried not to show it. The doctors pulled him into a waiting room with a little bit of people I sat next to tobias in a blue chair and I showed him some funny videos on my phone to take his mind off the surgery. He smiled but this smile was full of joy. He laughed a little. It made my cheeks flush pink but it didnt show. We both laughed untill an old man said. " Why iz it takin sooo long!? " this is an emergency room the youths should go last!" He yelled at the lady at the counter. My mom gkt irritated and got up. " ahem. Sir you see that boy in the wheel chair?" She said looking serious and pointinf at tobias " a-ah yes?" He said brushing his beard with his hand. " well that young man has something serious that could kill him and is in need of sergery now take a seat and don't COMPLAIN!!!" She said raising her voice. Tobias had a big grin on his face when he looked back at me. " that scumbag got what he deserved!" Tobias said slightly vibrating. " Yeah totally!" I said nudging his arm. We both laughed until tobias sarted coughing a lot. His. Heart moniter was going haywhire. four nurses rushed out and took tobias into the surgery room.  " WAIT!!" I yelled as the doors closed. "Ugh damn it!!" I said sitting back down. Mom was equally as worried as I was.
" oooh I hope they take care of him he is still too young!" My mom said messing with her rings. " Carmelo do you know his parents maybe we should Cal-" "NO!!!" I interrupted. " I-I mean no he cant go back home..."
I said looking down. " why?" She asked. " he gets abused by his father everyday..." I said finnaly looking up.

" no .thats terrible!" She said covering her mouth in shock. I took my phone out and texted Rudy

Caramel: Rudy!

Rudy red nose: what?

Caramel: tobias is getting surgery his heart moniter just went haywire!!!!

Rudy red nose: What? What happened???

Caramel: I dont know he was fine one minute the other minute he was taken by the doctors.

Rudy red nose: he might have gotten a heart attack!!!

Caramel: hope not!

Rudy red nose: yeah...

Caramel: should we tell Emilio what happend?

Rudy red nose: maybe not...

Caramel: why?

Rudy red nose: because I say so!

Caramel: fine whatever

Rudy red nose: (left the chat)

I put my phone down again to look at my mom who was on the phone with my aunt ( does Carmelo have an aunt?) She was talking about Tobias. Six hours passed and two doctors came out "Mrs. deMonte?"said one of the doctors. " that is I?" Said mom standing up. " we are happy to say that Tobias is in great condition!" Said the other doctor. I jumped oit of my seat and said " can we see him!?!"

" yes right this way young man" said a doctor with a smile.

We followed the doctors into a room where Tobias was sitting and reading a book on the bed. When he heard the. Door open he looked up his hair was loose and down and smiled. I kinda liked his hair that way. I sat in a chair next to the bed " hey Tobias..."
" yeah" he said without looking away from his book. " I need to ask you something." I said. He looked ober to me " what is it?" He said slightly confused. " would you like to stay with us?" I said. " ....are you for real?.... Of course!!!! Anything to get away from H I M..."  He said in a dramatic tone. I chuckled " haha very funny" I said sarcasticly. " take my efforts in trying to joke" said tobias peretending to be offended. We laughed . he turned around fir momment but thats wen I saw a large crossed wound on his back. ' is that what his father does to him?' I thought to myself . he turned. Back around showing two chocolate bars.

" here its a thank you for saving me earlier" he said handing me a candy bar. I took it and said " sweet. NOM NOM NOM"  I said pertending to eat it all with the rapper still on. we laughed a little bit. But his patient dress slid down a little reveiling the wounds and stitching near the chest. " Tobias how do you feel?" I said. " numb to the point I could melt" he replyed sinking into tje bed sheets and laying there. " ha" I said
