Lisa's POV

"Miss Lisa, wake up! Please wake up!" I can hear a familiar voice calling my name. I still can't open my eyes, I feel like someone is above me, my chest is feeling tight and I can't breath.. I can feel that someone is putting something in my arm and I can feel a sharp pain in my fingertip.

"How is she?" Another voice I hear.

"The vitals are all stable and in Normal range. The sugar test is also in normal range.. It's probably anxiety attack or because of over fatigue. She will gain her consciousness in a while, just give her some space to breath" the other voice said.

Finally I got the strength to open my eyes. First it was blurry and I can see shadow of people around me.. I found myself lying down on my leather sofa inside my room inside my office. When I try to sit down someone grab my arm and assist me back to lying position.

"Don't force yourself, just stay where you are. You need to rest" unfamiliar voice said. She sounds like a boss, it wasn't a request but an order . Who is she to order me around? But, my instinct said to follow her tho and yes I did.

After 30 minutes, I guess. I feel that I'm getting better. I open my eyes again. I can sense no movement in the room but I can feel that someone is eyeing me in a distance and I am not mistaken. A glamorous sophisticated woman sitting in front of me with her legs crossed is eyeing me. I look at her and I can see no emotions in her face. I fixed myself and sit properly, my heads still hurts a little but non that I cannot handle. I look at her again and she starts to speak.

"You should not over worked yourself you know, your health comes first" She said "so do you remember who am I" she asked with authority. God, she's scary

I close my eyes again trying to remember everything before I got unconscious and my eyes wide open when I remembered what she said..

I'm hearing this word repeatedly in my mind.

I look at her again and I can see she is now smirking looking at me. I stand up and bow down to her. Well, she did the same.

"Have a sit, Lisa!" She said. Her voice changed now. It's a little more not scary

I followed that orders. God. Kim's are very intimidating.

"It's my pleasure meeting you today, Mrs. Kim. I'm sorry for what happened" I said shyly

"That's alright. But let's get down to business, I'll be straight to you Miss Manoban, I didn't came here for business, you already have signed the contract and the project will soon start, I came here, because of my daughter. Jennie Kim. Who are you to my daughter, Lisa?" She asked me frankly. I can feel the sweat is all over my body and My heart is pounding like a drum.

"Cat got your tongue, Miss Manoban?" She asked again

"Uhmm... uhmmm. Jennie Kim, Jennie Kim is someone I care about" I started to talk. I look at her eyes and try not to break the eye contact. " Mrs. Kim, I know you are probably doing this to protect your daughter but you have nothing to worry about me." I added, it seems that I get my confidence back. Talking about how I feel about Jennie makes happy. " I like your daughter, I like her very much and I am willing to move mountains for her, I am willing to do everything to see her smile and hear her laugh everyday. I am becoming a better version of myself because of her. I.. I.. I love your daughter Mrs. Kim" I let out the words that I can't say in front of Jennie myself, but I confess my feelings in front of her mother instead.

I look at her mother and I still can't see any emotions in her face nor her eyes. She slightly bow down her head and I'm surprised when I heard her laugh.

"You should see your face, Lisa! Hahahahah God, I can't believe you fainted because of me. Hahaha " she laugh again

I raised my brows up and I look at her, curious.

"Mrs. Kim, don't get me wrong but why are you laughing? Did I say something funny?" I asked her. She keeps on laughing still and then she stop and look at me again with that scary cat eyes

"You're funny Lisa, my daughter is right. Haha But don't tell her that you collapse okay? I mean you can tell her but never mentioned that its because of me. She will probably not talk to me for a week if she find sout" Jennie's Mum said

"No worries, I will not mention it to her. i don't want to be rude but why are you here Mrs.Kim?" I asked again

"Uuughhh Nothing really, I just want to see the person who made my Jennie smile. You should understand that I fly all the way from south korea just to see you and cancel some important appointments just to meet you. That's how important this matter is to me, as a mother it is my duty to personally thank you for bringing joy and happiness to my little kim" she said

I feel special but I still can't figure out if she's okay with us being together or with me for Jennie. I should ask her anyway.

" I appreciate it Mrs.Kim. I have another question tho," i said

"Shoot!" She answered giggling

I smiled because of her remarks.

"Are you okay with us? I mean we are not official yet but are you okay if Jennie will be my girlfriend?" I ask

"Isn't it still not obvious? Silly! You know Lisa, Jennie is our only child the sole heir for the empire. But you know, Jennie doesn't really care about wealth or power, that is because we raised her to be like who she is right now. We raised her well Lisa. And I can see that your parents did the same to you. Both of you and Jennie has the power in your hands but you stay grounded. You are a good person Lisa, a perfect one for my little Kim. And to answer your question, I am delighted to know that you Lalisa Manoban is the reason why my Jennie is happy" hearing her said things like this bring tears to my eyes. I thought she's going to disapprove. I come to her and give her a hug which she returns.

I let go of the hug and look at her.. We continue to chat about random things, well mostly about Jennie. I am really having a great day right now, aside from me fainting but it's all worth it. Jennie's mum said that she is now leaving and will inform me next time if she pay for a visit. I walk with her in the elevator until in the lobby. She hugged me goodbye and she surprised me again by saying..

"Lisa, call me Mum from now on" she wink at me and I can feel my heart melted and butterflies are having riot in my stomach

"Okay, Mu..Mum! Take care!" i smile at her and open her car door for her.

I can't erase the smile in my face after she left. I went home and tell my parents about her unexpected visit and my mother laughed at me knowing that I fainted because of fear and anxiety, all because of Mrs. Kim, Jennie's mother who I can now call Mum. I will be sleeping great tonight.
