Same night*
Wally, you okay?" Artemis asked, sitting next to the boy who'd only eaten a plate of food when usually he had already eaten five by the time she's gotten to the table.
"Yeah," he muttered, shoveling spaghetti into his mouth and slurping up at least twenty different noodles, how he'd gotten that many on that fork was beyond her knowledge. Wally stared off into blank space and tapped his fork on the plate, then stabbed a meatball and ate it.
"Okay." Artemis didn't believe it, he wasn't normal Wally.
"Are you okay? I looked up withdrawal symptoms and you had at least three at once."
"I'm fine," she said. "Well, now I am."
"Great," he brightened, "that's good. So 8, do you wanna play video games?"
"I've only played Mario Kart."
"You poor, underprivileged, soul, Robin and I decided to play Five Nights At Friday. Mostly because Robin didn't want you to have more knowledge on Supernatural than he does."
"What's that?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.
"A demonic show about two brothers who are underwear models in their spare time who go hunt monsters and demons and scary alcoholic teddy bears, he'd said you would probably love it."
"I'm all about objectifying hot men's bodies." She smiled. "That's a bit prejudicial."
"I thought you would love the alcoholic teddy bears more, personally."
"Are there any sexy demons?"
"Definitely," Wally laughed. "They're usually women though. Though Crowley can rock a suit. Artemis giggled.
"Now who's objectifying."
"I am a teenage boy, I take notice of women."
"Or a demon named Crowley who can "rock a suit."
"Most definitely, I think it's because he's middle aged, really hot, and owns the moon." Artemis started giggling and covered her mouth knowing if she didn't get control over it, she would snort which was a sound she hated no matter what.
"I'm going to get food," she said, still slightly laughing.
"See ya in like thirty minutes because you take forever to pick a food!"
"You mean because of the fact that I don't eat ten plates every night? How are you not four hundred pounds?"
"Really fast metabolism?" He said, unsure, shrugging.
"Aw, they're so cute, I'm gonna barf," Roy said, in a falsetto voice. "Blondie, I heard about your tumble, you okay?" Despite the disrespect in his tone, Artemis knew he was genuinely concerned. Kaldur looked at him with eyebrows raised with a hand on his hip.
"Are you okay, Artemis?" Kaldur asked, turning to her.
"Of course she's okay," Zatanna said, walking into the room. "She's Artemis."
"Why are the acoustics so good in this room?" Artemis muttered. "I'm fine, I might not be if you all keep choking me with the same question out in different word format."
"We're just worried about you," Zatanna said.
"Hey guys!" Robin said, as he appeared at Roy's elbow, Roy elbowed him in the face. Totally didn't see that one coming.
"Ow," Robin murmured, rubbing his nose.
"Get away from me," Roy said.
"Leave him alone," annoyance flashed across Kaldur's face as he set down food and glanced at Robin, who was glaring at Roy.
"You provoked him," Zatanna muttered as she grabbed Robin who was being extremely childish at the moment.
"MY FACE!" He protested.
"You know not to provoke him, his anger issues aren't as bad as Conner but he's a naturally angry person," Zatanna mocked-whispered.
"Hey! I understand throwing me under the bus, but why'd you have to throw the Boy Scout under too?" Roy asked, smirking. Zatanna rolled her eyes and Artemis chuckled, picking up a brownie and some strawberries.
"How do you people eat such a minuscule meal?" Wally exclaimed looking at Artemis's plate.
"I'm sorry, when did you dictate our eating habits?" Artemis asked.
"When it became extremely unhealthy."
"Zatanna, how long has he been on your case?" Artemis said.
"Everyday since I ate in front of him," Zatanna answered.
"If you must be concerned," Artemis said. "I thought I'd start with dessert first."
"And here I thought you would be the health nut." Wally said. Roy started guffawing which was the correct word because it was the loudest laugh she'd ever heard.
"Her? She once eat an entire cake for breakfast then downed at least four cupcakes after."
"Okay, that's a huge exaggeration," Artemis said.
"I counted," Kaldur said. "It was six cupcakes." Artemis glared at her traitorous friend.
"You've given information to the enemy." She shoved the brownie into her mouth and reached over and grabbed the cake.----------------------------------------------
"Megan!!" Artemis moaned in pain. "I made a mistake."
"You shouldn't have eaten an entire cake." Her auburn hair friend said still smiling like normal. Artemis lifted her head from Megan's lap and removed her feet from Zatanna's. She leaned against the pink cloth of Megan's cardigan which was made surprisingly well.
"So how was your day?"
"Better than yours by what Wally told me."
"I threw up on Dinah's blue heels," Artemis groaned, rubbing her stomach.
"How are you not dead?" Megan asked.
"I'm not quite sure, it may have been because Wally would have been a witness and we all know he can outrun anyone here."
"You girls talking about me," Wally said, placing his head between theirs.
"How you would be the witness that uncovered my murder's mystery."
"Oh yes, that would be my job in a murder mystery."
"Witness?" Zatanna asked, looking up from her nail polish.
"Yes, except I'd probably run and never return." Wally ruffled her Artemis's hair. "Video games, let's go."
"Okay," she kissed Megan's cheek and Zatanna's forehead. "See ya later!"
"Bye!"
"Have a nice time!"
"Don't let Wally beat you!" Artemis swiveled at Roy's voice.
"Thanks to know I've got your vote."
"You've always had my vote, unless I was running against you," Roy smiled.
"Thanks for the confidence, man," Wally muttered.
"Music box is priority!" Kaldur called before Wally rushed her off to his room where Robin was already.
Artemis grabbed the chair and Robin almost jumped three feet into the air. His eyes were still glued to the screen as a music box warning was flashing.
"Dude, the puppet's worse," Wally said. Robin switched and a creepy face puppetry thing which was what Wally must have been talking about had sprung out and looked like it was about to eat your face.
Boy, was it fun to have friends.
Also, Robin and Wally scream like girls.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
'Ello lovelies!
Like my sootie impression.
I'm not explaining my reference.I have a chapter right in progress but I'm trying to decide if I like it or if it's stupid. Right now it's more the latter.
Or it could just be fluff.
