2nd person POV

It was nearly half a year after the great battle against Null Sector and Talon.
Since then, Mei was the big hero of the day beside you but you ignored all the congratulations because you saw her as the better one of you two. It was thanks to your reflexes that you had made it out there alive. You saw it as pure luck that you had seen the flying ice pack.

But it had gotten better with time. Everyone had calmed down and was in his normal mood again. Reaper sat now in the most high secure prison in Colorado, ADX Florence Supermax along with Doomfist and a few other high ranking members. Widowmaker sat in a cell in the Overwatch base where the scientists tried to stop the consequences of her brainwashing.

One day, after you had completed another mission along with Tracer and McCree, you stood with Jack at a table in the control room where you talked with Sojourn about the next steps.

"According to reports Null Sector is marching towards the Russian border to support their troops that are already there. But Volskaya wants to do this alone. She says that they will do this in their own ways." Sojourn reports.

"Is it at least possible to send relief goods?" you asked.

"Well she said they don't want military help from us so... it should be no problem." she replied.

"What about Umbani? I'm wondering why they don't want to touch anything there." Jack asked.

Now it was you who answered.

"Some sources report isolated riots but it's nothing they couldn't handle."

Suddenly Tracer came in.

"I've got a message from Colonel Sharp in Korea. The Gwishin are taken down. They discovered a factory below sea level. It's destroyed but one could escape so he might be back with reinforcements. At least that's what the Colonel says." she ended her report.

"Thank you Lena. Anything else?" Jack asked.

"That would be everything." she replied and left.

"So, since we've discussed this I think we can close this meeting and..."

A ringing tone could be heard and then a message appeared in front of Jack. He read it and while he did that he looked more and more angry. It was a short message and it was clear to read:

"Reaper escaped."

"Would you two leave now? I have a call to make. This meeting is closed." Jack said and you and Sojourn left without any protest.
Right behind the door you spoke to her:

"Well, I believe we have now new priorities."

"I definitely think so." she replied.

"I'll tell the others." you said and walked to the meeting room.

10 minutes later...

"How could he escape? How is that possible?" Lucìo asked.

"I've analysed the recordings and it turned out to be Max." Vivian said.

"Max? Maximilien?" Tracer asked.

"The one and only." Vivian answered.

"Please tell me, they didn't make it all out alive." Lucìo said.

"Their attack didn't even take long. Two minutes after they had placed the bomb at the wall of the building they left with Reaper leaving no trace. Everyone in, everyone out."

"This is growing to a worldwide catastrophe. If we don't stop them in the next months, economies could break down on the whole planet. And Earth can't take another war. This has to end instantly." Vivian spoke.

"I think Gabriel doesn't see the danger of this alliance. When Null Sector is just one step away from wiping out humanity... They want to see mankind burn. Talon's a safety risk. And that's what Gabriel doesn't see." you said.

"Well then, let's find him!" Tracer announced.

The next weeks didn't bring any proceedings. Everytime you found a base of Talon it was left without any hints of their current position.
But then, interesting news were heard.

"Hey Jack, any interesting news?" you asked a few days later.

"Indeed, there's some good news. We were able to arrest Mauga after he started a riot near London. But there is little information about his motive."

"Really? That's great news! So why are you so depressed?" you asked.

"When Mauga destroyed a coffee shop he hit several civilians and he wounded Tracer. She was hit almost fatally but she's out of danger. She'll be fine."

You let out a mute curse then looked back at Jack. You were worried about
her but if she was okay, it couldn't be that bad.

"Where is she now?" you asked after a short pause.

"She's in a hospital near London. But the most important thing is we have Mauga out of the way."

"Ok, so what now?"

"There is evidence of a secret base in the Italian Alps hundreds of meters below
earth's surface. Currently, we're discussing the strategy with our allies."

"You said they're hiding in the Alps, is that right?"

"We assume that they're hiding there. Before we intervene, we'll send scouts to that position so we can be sure it's really their new headquarters and not again and abandoned outpost. But as far as we know, yes."

"So, when would we attack if it's true about... that base?"

"The scouts are already on their way to, well... scout out the place. If it's really true, we'll think about the next moves. It all depends now on what they'll find out."

"I see. Well then, see you later Morrison." you said to Jack and left.

24 hours later...

You were on your way to the meeting room with your comrades after Jack had asked for an emergency meeting a few minutes ago. When you entered the room you saw Tracer was there by hologram and it was obvious to see she was still in her bed in hospital and she looked happy to be with her friends even if they weren't actually there.

"Hey (F/N)! It's good to see you again! How are you, shellhead?" Tracer said in a happy tone.

"I'm okay. And you?"

"Good enough." she replied.

You looked around again. When everyone had sat down, Jack began his report.

"As you know, we've discovered a secret base of Talon in the Alps near the border to Switzerland, Italy and Austria. The entrance is on the southern site of Gran Zebrù. They must feel pretty safe there because that's the only entrance on that area. Once we have cut off the escape route for them it won't take long for us to get in. Strike forces are already gathering at the meeting point. I'll tell you the strategy later, now's not the time for that. Let's go!"
