One year later...

(F/N)'s POV

I worked on my latest project, when a signal went off.

"Sir, it's Winston. It seems to be important." Vivian said.

"Put him through. And for God's sake, stop calling me sir I'm not my dad and you're not Jarvis." I exclaimed. Vivian giggled.

"Good morning, (F/N)." Winston's voice sounded in my room.

"Morning Winston. What's on your mind today?" I asked him.

"There's a code red. Would you please come to the meeting room?"

"On my way." I gave back.

"There I am, what is it?" I asked when I arrived.

"We got news from Numbani." Winston said.

"Where you, Genji and Tracer defeated Doomfist?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Ok, do we know who it is?"

"Reports say there are two individuals but..."

WHOOOOOM!

Everything went black and the emergency lights switched on in a red glow.

"What was that? What's going on?" someone, maybe it was McCree, asked.

"The system went on emergency mode. The electricity was shut down." Winston said.

I ran over to the computer. I knew this wasn't just a power failure.

"Gotcha!" I called out.

"What is it, (F/N)?" Winston asked.

"This isn't just a normal blackout. We have some kind of a virus in our systems. Vivian, can you do that?"

"Is your father a billionaire?"

"Just do it." I sighed.

Just when Vivian worked on the electronical intruder the doors opened.

"Come on, we gotta get out of here!" I shouted.

When we left the base and got outside, we were greeted by a battalion of Talon.

"Everyone, we have to split up! Winston, 76, Pharah, you take them from their right, Tracer, Genji, and McCree, you go on their left side, I come from above.

My strategy worked as always. Within minutes, only a few enemy soldiers were left. When I got the last one, I flipped up my visor, lifted him into the air and asked:

"What are you doing here? You could never overrun this base, so what the hell is your order?"

And then he did something I had never seen before: He laughed! He laughed like I had told him a joke! I punched him in the gut and he fell to the ground and coughed. I stepped on his hand and asked again:

"Why are you here? I'm not gonna ask again!"

And again, he didn't scream from pain like a normal person would do it, but kept laughing.

"You think this is funny? I asked you a serious question."

"Haha, it's already too late. You wanna know what our order was? I'll tell you: We're just the distraction, you fool!"

The last part of his sentence was filled with anger. And then he shot himself unexpected in the head.

I couldn't believe it. We got distracted. But distracted from what?"
