Monday, 2nd November, 1:30pm

Math class is useless. Seriously, why do I even attend the class? I just sit there and merely exist. This is basically my doodling time unless I'm forced to do work by Mr. Wells. I know that he knows I don't need to be in the class because I have the power of self studying, I'm really good at it.

Harry comes into class while the teacher is in the middle of explaining something. At this point Mr. Wells doesn't care that Harry is late anymore, he just stopped trying. He only sent him a disappointed glare.

He sat next to me quietly, not saying a word. A 'hello' would've been appreciated. I suddenly remembered my words yesterday.

you know what mom, I think I'm going to go thank him for what he did.

"Okay class, get to work, you can work with a partner if you'd like."

That was my opportunity; I looked at Harry and he seemed to be too busy trying to solve a math problem, not looking my way.

"Hey Harry."

No reply. Okay.

"I just wanted to say thank you for yesterday. My mother told me what you did." I went on, since when was I so brave and straightforward.

"It is no bother." He finally replied after a few moments of deafening silence.

He never looked at me, instead he stared down the math problem he was stuck on until the bell rang signaling the end of class.

As I was gathering my things I heard, "Are you free today at 6:30?"

"Yes, yes I am."

"Alright then. I'll come by your house for that pending tutoring lesson."

"Okay."

Why was my heart beating so quickly like he just told me he loved me. It wasn't that big of a deal!

"Hope you're not asleep this time." He flashed me a quick smile, and I saw an outline of his dimples. He looked so-

Cute.

He left the classroom without another word. Leaving me to recover from seeing that smile of his. It's one hell of a sight.

6:30 on the dot, the doorbell rings. I rush to open it to be met with Harry. He wore a simple black hoodie and black trousers, yet he still looked dashing.

"Come in."

He followed me through the house until we were met with my one and only mother. Shit.

"Oh hello Harry! It's really nice to see you again. How are you sweetie? Did you get home okay yesterday? Hope the umbrella I gave you was enough protection from the harsh weather. Are you here for the tutoring lesson? Would like some food, water maybe?"

I got second hand embarrassment. I know Harry will give her the driest reply out there and she'll be hurt. She is such a nice human and he's a prick.

"Hello Mrs. Dawson, I'm very well thank you. The umbrella helped a lot I got home okay thank you for that. I'm here for the tutoring lesson with Lana. And no, I don't want anything thank you for the offer.", he gave her a thankful smile. He was a completely different person around her.

I guess I was wrong, he wasn't a prick. At least to my mother. He replied to her every question seeming unbothered by the whole situation.

"You can call me Sophia, honey." My mother smiled brightly, it was such a beautiful exchange. My mother left us alone and I continued leading him to my room.

"So what do you want to start off with?"

No reply. Can't he just say something when I ask a question?

"Listen to me Harry this is not going to work if whenever I ask you something you're just too cool to reply to me, it was a simple question really!" I say progressively getting angrier.

"Whatever you want, I'm falling behind in all topics."

Okay. Maybe I finally got to him.

8:30 pm
I've been with Harry for TWO hours! There's a lot to catch up on, he really was falling behind. I'm glad he's not stupid and I don't have to repeat myself like 7 times. But surely, we'll need more than one tutoring lesson. Ugh yay.

This is absolute torture, someone insanely attractive is sitting next to me at an inappropriate distance for my mind to function correctly, and he is in my room. I must say I've always been the innocent type but sometimes you can't control your thoughts.

He smells so good. His hair looks so soft. His eyes. I want to get lost in them forever.

Lana, NO. Am I actually trying to sniff that is so creepy, god. Remember, he might be attractive but his personality is not.

"Lana."

My name rolling off his tongue catches my attention immediately.

"I'm really bored. And tired. I hate maths, and it's been almost two hours. I have to go."

"I couldn't agree with you more this is so exhausting." I put my hand on my forehead  leaning back dramatically.

He smiled at me. I finally got to fully see that beautiful smile of his. Dimples popping and eyes sparking.

"How about this, we can do a tutoring lesson tomorrow, but in the park instead.
It could be a good change of scenery."

"Yes! That's a great idea I love the park, but we have to get ice cream after though." I said smiling widely

That smile suddenly wiped off his beautiful face. Did I say something wrong?

"We'll see. I have to go." He said dryly. We are back to square one.

"Oh okay. Goodb-"

The door is shut and he already left me alone in my room questions swarming around my brain. He finally started to treat like a normal person. What happened that he shut off again.

I'm sure I didn't say anything wrong. Did I?

-
