One of a kind

New Start

I had almost forgot the entire reason why I was hospitalized. My quirk the fight all of it. I may not remember all of it but I did remember bits and bobs of it.
"We cannot fully confirm what your quirk is,but we believe it to be some form of regeneration .We are not sure what triggered the sudden access to the quirk, or that is what I was supposed to tell you.." Allmight paused.
"Izuku I need you to promise me you will tell no one what you hear about yourself today. If not it best if you never hear what I'm about to tell you"Allmight said with a voice cold like ice. My throat had a lump in it. I wonder why it was so hard to talk now. My hands felt like clams and the world started to spin. But one thing remained clear if I wanted to follow my dream this was the only way...
"Yes!" I said as I tried my best to keep my composure. Allmight node and continued
"Izuku we did test you seem to carrie the Alpha gene or the quirk gene. You probably already know that. But what you weren't supposed to know is what exactly your quirk is. Like I said it is an regenerative quirk. But what you don't know is the is how powerful it actually is." Allmight sighed deeply before continuing.

"To tell you the truth it is scars me ... no not just that it terrifies me to my very core. What I saw you do was awe inspiring... Your quirk is very uhh well common. Regeneration quirks are not new or impressive usually. They usually only make the person heal at a faster than usual rate not like in the movies making them near immortal. And the ones that are good have well unintended consequences. Because it's hard to determine wether you have one because parents are not keen on hurting their child to find out. But what they don't know is that all it takes is a broken bone and their body goes into overdrive to fix it and burns through it's calories and fat reserves leaving the child broken. Their bodies are left shells of what they once where, and since their body constantly is trying to fix it's self it only makes it worse." Allmight jaw clenched up and her face became more rigid. But she forced her self to continue.

"But you are different your body is changed ever so slightly but that is all it takes. You see while you would usually starve to death after taking that... beating form her you didn't. That's because your body has ultra-rich fat reserves. Making it where you body only burns through a couple of fat cells repairing muscle tissue and bones. Leaving the only drawback from you quirk being that if overwhelming used it can result in starvation, and of corse the fact that you are l probably going to be hungry all of the time." Allmight finally finished her explanation.

While I on the other hand felt well... super happy. I had  everything going my way I finally got away from my mother and got a new home. I even got a quirk which I never even believed I could have. I got a new life and a new start. It was as if my life got a second chance. I no longer had to steal or rob people to get by, but for once in my life could live my childhood what little I had left of it anyway and be a somewhat normal kid.
