A black car pulled over and I got in.

"You look quite young, where are you headed? " The elderly man asked in English.

"I'm actually 17,here's the address" I lied to him.

I showed him the address of my hotel where my cousin was gonna stay with me and he made his way there.

The ride was mostly quiet aside from a few questions from the man.

"So where are you from? " He asked.

"I'm actually half Korean, I live in Australia. " I replied in my broken Korean chuckling a little.

"Oh so you speak Korean hahaha well what brings you here kid" He replied.

"Oh I'm, just visiting distant relatives... " I partly lied again.

"Well we've arrived to your location. That'll be $$$."

I handed him the money as well as thanked him and got out of the car.

"Hey Y/N!! " The sound of a girl yelling could be heard.

"Oh! Yeonmi!! " I made my way to her and hugged her.

We checked into our rather luxurious hotel and I hurriedly made my way to my room because after that long flight, all I want to do is sleep.

I washed up and lightly unpacked my stuff. I layed in my bed while playing my phone for a while before I was ready to sleep.

I set my phone aside and turned on the television drowsily watching whatever was playing.

As I slowly drifted into sleep a single thought went through my mind.

'I can't believe I'm joining this thing'

[NEXT MORNING]

I went to Paju city the next morning and got to the filming site.

I sighed when I arrived.

"I can't believe my parents even allowed me to come here by myself. What great parents they are" I said quietly to myself.

Today is the first day of filming and we were in the waiting room.

I was waiting for my name to be called out so we can go sit on that pyramid thingy.

Soon after, everyone went in expect me. I was the only one left.

'Am I seriously the only individual trainee this season?'

I went inside this room and there was writings on the wall with many different languages there.

I used the market they gave me to write a message for myself.

Then I went through this hallway, I looked to the left and saw everyone there, no joke I was kinda nervous.

I took slow steps out there and bowed to all of the other trainees.

"Hello everyone, I'm Y/N, I'm an individual trainee, I hope we all get along and have fun" I greeted everyone.
