"....nnnhg! Shoot..." you sighed as the quick pain shot through your stomach. Resting a hand on it you panted. "Come on kiddo...give me a break." You say softly rubbing your belly.
"Y/n?" Glenn's voice called he entered your room. He was covered head to toe in thick red sludge, "Glenn?" You question him, "I-I'm ok...I'm ok. But you...is it are they, I mean." Glenn gulped his eyes nervously glued to your stomach.
You chuckled "what?" He breathed. "You're the one covered in dead people goo, and you're worried about me." You mused with a smile.
In the small studio apartment You and Glenn, now clean, snuggle up on the sofa near the window.
You stomach aches with a familiar pain
Your smile brought a smile to his face. "I mean...you're carrying our future right?" He asked.
"I'm ok, it's not coming anytime soon I think." You say.
"But it was due yesterday..." he said timidly.
"Yeah well...I was born 5 full days late, my brother was a whole week late. It's not comming no time soon." You giggle.
The sun was starting to set, Glenn had cleaned up and the two of you shared a dinner made up of all the last odds an ends of the pantry.
The small studio apartment was quiet and dark as you and Glenn lay curled up on the sofabed. One arm warped around you so that his hand may lay on your stomach. The other playing with your hair.
You two lay listening to the gurgling and shuffling of the hordes of walkers outside the window down on the street below.
They'd stopped showing up inside the building and Glenn would try his hardest to clear out any few that popped up in the hallways of the small apartment building.
You frowned slightly listening to them. "You shouldn't even be here Glenn..." you whisper . "Huh? Where else would I be? You need me, both of you." He says sitting up a bit.
"You could have gone to the camps and safe ways the military set up. Now your stuck here." You're voice cracks.
Glenn falls silent for a moment and leaning down nuzzled your neck gently. "Hey...Y/n, I'd rather be stuck here, than safe anywhere else." He says softly, he brushed at your hair, "That group out there? They'll hobble away soon, probably by tonight and then we can make it to the safeway." He reasoned carefully. His light touch as his fingers ran through your hair soothes your mind.
"We're going to be ok, I coukd never regret coming back for you two. Not coming wasn't an option. I can't survive this without you I wouldn't want to." He said giving you a kiss on the cheek.
Carefully you turned to face him, looking up into dark eyes full of warmth and kindess. He smiles at you and lightly kisses you.
"Its us or nothing alright?" He whispered resting his forhead to yours.
You nod, his palm still tenderly resting against your stomach. He chuckles, "looks like he/she is restless too" he said, eyes lighting up.
"Yeah? Wanna go over those names again?" You asked. He always got excited about names. While you had picked some already, the two of you always seemed to come up with new ones the longer it was taking for the baby to arrive.
Glenn rolled over to allow you to rest your head on him. Halfway on his chest you used him like a pregnancy pillow.
Glenn thought for a minute how about "_____, that sounds nice." He said with a smile.
"You've said that name nearly every time we think up names. It's always in the batch." You giggle. "Yeah? Maybe that's the one then." He hummed. His hand gently caressed your back and shoulders.
"We're going to be ok...I can feel it. I can see it. You, me and _______ we're gonna be fine." He said smile getting wider.
You cuddle closer and he kisses the top of your head. "I promise." He said.
