Chapter one

ALEX

I had my arm around Delly, i was happy to say she was my new girlfriend, but somehow i just thought maybe she was'nt the love of my life, but she was nice. I felt kind of like a jerk because she sometimes acted like she did actually love me. The last thing i wanted to do is break it to a girl that i don't love her. But what the heck, she's a good kisser. I laughed at something her friend had said, "Abby your really funny!" i exclaimed.

   "oh just wait till' you meet devon!" she said " She's Hilarious!"

    "Oh yeah" ,Delly giggled, "in 6th grade, i almost peed myself after something she said!"

     "wow she must have said something pretty funny." I said thoughtfully. Delly wasnt much of the type who would nearly pee her pants in public. It took a lot to get her to laugh. I mean, I consider myself pretty funny, but i have never once gotten more than a giggle out of Delly.

      "Delly! Delly Over here!!" exclaimed Char one of Delly's friends. I saw a girl with beautiful flowing auburn hair, leaves were stuck in it like she had rolled through a leaf pile on her way to school. Her eyes were a piercing green that just had to catch your attention, and she had a cute little nose sprinkled with freckles. Her cheeks were a bright pink from the chilly air outside. I liked the fact that she was'nt wearing anything fancy, just lightwash skinny jeans, those furry boots girls wear, what were they called, uggs? She had a loose white sweater that made her look very hugg-able? Wow I'm turning into a girl. As she walked towards us with a grin on her face, a weird feeling setled in my stomach. As she walked up with that smile, i could'nt help smiling back.

        " Hey Devon! How's my besty?" Shreiked Delly. Crap Delly! i couldnt be falling for this Devon girl when i was dating Delly, they were best friends for gods sake!

          " Hey Delly! Who's this?" Devon asked with that cute smile.It took me a second to realize she meant me. Of course, she wanted to meet her bestfriends boyfriend.

          "This is Alex, my borfriend!" Delly said.

         "Hi Alex! I'm Devon" Devon said happily.

           " Oh hi D-Devon." I stuttered. Devon gave me a strange look, so did Delly, then both girls turned towards their friends and started a loud conversation about some party they were throwing. I took that as my cue to leave and quickly made my way over to my friends.

            "Alex has a girl guys! Alex has a girl!' Shouted dan my best friend. "oooooo" all the boys exclaimed.

            I turned a bright shade of red, "shutup guys!" i said punching Dan's arm. The second i punched his arm, the bell rang, as if on cue. For some horribly embarrassing reason, i thought this was the funniest thing in the world. So in front of the whole entire school, i started to laugh hysterically, because the bell rang. I was laughing so hard i felt like i Had a six pack, i dropped to the ground clutching at my stomach. I was to wrapped up in my stupid world to notice that everyone was staring at me as they made their way into the building. Delly gave me a look like, ugh your hopeless! Then stomped into the school. My friends laughed at me and left me sitting on the ground. I couldnt stop laughing and everyone was staring at me, just sitting there, laughing all by myself. Then i heard the best thing in the world, i heard a soft beautiful sound, it sounded like laughing, a girl laughing. I turned and saw Devon, laughing at me! That's it, bring on the embarrassment! Then i realized, Devon was'nt laughing at me, she made it so i was'nt the only one laughing, she was helping me! It was then, sitting on the ground laughing at the stupidest thing in the world, did i realize that l loved Devon Shay.

DEVON

I sat in History thinking about ( shame on me) alex! Why did my bestfriends boyfriend have to be so cute and, lovable! Why couldnt he have beem some guy in a gang or a tattoo artist! Did he have to be some incredibly cute guy with wavy brown hair swooped to one side and dark brown eyes that i could get lost in if i wasnt careful. I could never be a mean person. I would'nt be able to live with myself if i was mean! But Alex is just so........oh god am i falling for him? I can't be NO! Delly would hate me if i did! maybe i should tel her. No, if i tell her she'll flip! oh why? The bell rang and everyone started to gather there things. One more class left, then finally i can go home and try to erase ALex from my mind. I walked in science only to stop dead in my tracks from what i saw. Sitting in the back of the room was an adorable boy with wavy brown hair and dark brown eyes......Alex. I tried to act cool, but inside i was screaming! Did he have to be in THIS science class? How had i not noticed home before?Mr. Fampto clapped his hands. "All right everyone, settle down! were doing a partner project!" Everyone gave a look towards their friend or slowly leaned towards the person they wanted to be their partner. "And i will choose for you." he finished. The class room erupted like a volcano with sighs and groans, and even "come on!" "settle!" Mr. Frampto yelled. "we will be working with this partner today only! Don't get so angry!" he explained the project to us and then gave us a slip of paper with our partners name on it. Please don't be Alex! I glanced at the paper, yes it said miranda! I smiled in her direction, she smiled back and gave me a thumbs up. I quickly turned my head to glance at Alex, i was surprised to see his brown eyes looking right back at me. Shockingly he looked, disappointed? He must have gotten a bad partner. Then i walked towards miranda.

     Finally after finishing our poster, the bell rang. I grabbed my things and walked out the door, my stomach dropped when i heard someone calling my name, someone who had a voice that sounded just like alex. I sighed and stopped, then i slowly turned around. "Hey Devon!" he exclaimed.

     "Hi" i said trying hard not to kiss him.

      "I was wondering if you wanted to like, go to a movie or something? He asked.

What! He's asking me to a movie? What the heck? "um, with Delly?"I questioned him.

       "No." He replied "Just us."

      "oh um, i don't think Delly would like that." i said slowly.

       "What? Oh yeah," He said sounding panicked "Sorry i asked." Then he swiftly walked away.

I sighed to myself, was it possible he liked me back? No it could'nt be. "Just forget about him Devon," I muttered to myself," Just forget.

I know i suck at spelling. And this is probably short, but i don't think you care. It get's better i promise! it does'nt keep the same, i like him but he's my bestfriends boyfriend, thing. It changes up! ooooooo exciting!
