Song of the Chapter:  Remember Me - UMI

If there was one thing that I remembered I hated when hanging out with the VlogSquad was alcohol. Parties were my thing in high school but whenever Zane or Ilya reeked of alcohol, it usually made me sick to my stomach.

But I must say, it was definitely worth seeing them drunk and they made it fun to be around despite the fact on how dangerous and careless they can be.

It was probably around 2 in the morning when we got back to David's house with a passed out drunk Zane. I trailed behind Heath and Jeff who struggled to carry him inside. Natalie walked next to me, recording the funny moment on her phone to post on Instagram.

When I walk over to the kitchen to grab some water, I notice a large bouquet of flowers, sitting in a black square box. I ran my fingers against the perimeter of the box, noticing how fresh and vibrant they looked despite how dark it looked.

"They're so beautiful aren't they?" Natalie smiles and she props her arms on the counter and admire the flowers, "They were sent to me from a company and I thought they were tok beautiful to be kept in my room."

Suddenly, David, Heath, Mariah, Jeff and Jason walk over to the two of us who gathered around the island. "I wanted her to throw them out." David pouts while Jeff comes and stands right next to me, not leaving any space between us. "I love flowers, especially red roses." Mariah smiles while she hovers over the box in the center of the island.

"Ooo, my favorite is white roses." Natalie perks up.

Heath, Jason and David look between eachother completely bored of the conversation that was going on. Jeff nudges me on the shoulder, "What's your favorite flower?" He winks.

Normally, this would send me in a state of awe, my cheek would grow warm and I would stare at the floor in embarrassment. But it took me back. A wave of sadness washed over me as I focused on the box that we stood around, trying to control my emotions before I show any sign of vulnerability.

"Where are you taking me?" I laugh, feeling the wind against my hair and trying to keep my feet running into anything as I was led into complete darkness. His hand was warm against mine, soft on our fingers that interlaced perfectly together. "The point of you being blindfolded is so that you won't know where you are." His voice rang closely through my ears and after years of knowing him, they still sent goosebumps down my spine.

I don't say anything after that. Mainly because I would get the same response each time and I wanted to cherish a moment like this. Weird, considering the fact that I don't even know where i was going.

I did know that we were most likely in a secluded area, considering the fact that I could no longer hear the bustling noises that I was used to. Cars honking with the occasional profanities that were being yelled across the sheet, the clicking and clacking of the shoes of people that I would walk to next to the street. It was completely quiet and there was a noticeable difference in the air quality.

"Can I at least know how much longer we have left?" I pout, before coming to an abrupt stop. He laughs under his breathe as he walks behind me, carefully removing the blindfold from my eyes. His body presses against mine, arms wrapping around me as I adjust my eyes to what was in front of me.

I immediately take a deep breath in complete and utter shock. My eyes trail all over the little cabin, softly lit up by a glimmer of light that was outside and the lamp post that was outside. "Do you like it? I rented it our for the night considering its our one year and I wanted to do something away from all the drama." He whispers into my ear, swaying us side to side as he rests his head on top of mine.

"I love it." I manage to say, still trying to collect my thoughts. He leads me inside where the fireplace was already lit up and on the coffee table in front of it, there was a potted plant. Upon closer inspection, I realized what it was and I almost refused to believe it. "Its crazy right?" He chuckles, probably from seeing my reaction.

"How did you-"

He sighs "Let me tell you, it was not easy at all. There were so many steps I had to deal with at customs and making sure it was going to stay alive." I turn to look at him as he triumphantly smiles at me.

"Juliet Roses." I say once again.

"Because I know that it's rare to find a girl like you. You've held me down for so long and you still continue to do it."

I push my lips against his, running my hands through the tufts of his chestnut brown hair while his remained stagnant on my waist, tightening his grip ever so often. He inches away, our foreheads touching as he stares into my eyes.

"I love you so much Ellie."

There was a hand on my shoulder that caused me to jump. I didn't even realize that I had zoned out until Jeff looked at me, a concerned look all over his face. "Are you okay?" He asks me, placing his hand on the small of my back. I look up to see them all staring, probably thinking I had gone crazy.

"Yeah, sorry."

"So?" Heath raises his eyebrow, "Your favorite flower?"

"Daises." I tell them, forcing a smile on my face. They all nod before the conversation drifts to another subject. I quietly sigh, as the memory replays back to back in my head.
