RECAP

Jeff watched how panicked she looked and as much as he was confused and irritated with her, he walks over to him, "Look man, you need to leave. She obviously doesn't want to see you. How the hell do you know her to begin with?"

Nate scoffs at Jeff, sizing him up, "I'm the father of her child."

David, who stood next to the door, blinks at me with his mouth slightly parted from shock. "I'm sorry, what?" He manages to sputter, still keeping his attention on me. My cheeks grow warm in embarrassment and anxiety. I glare at Nate, eyes were narrow from shock due to the fact that no one else knew. "Don't worry, I just found out too."

David chuckles before shaking his head, "I'm sorry." He pauses, "What?!"

Fuck me. Fuck this. Fuck everything.

"Yeah, we pretty much reacted the same way." He was enjoying this. He knew he was enjoying this. There was noting more I wanted to do than wipe that smug look off his pretty fucking face. But I couldn't deny that he was looking good, a light blue polo that defined his muscles in all the right places.

"Okay Nate, I think it's time for you to go." I say as I walk over him, trying my best to ignore the stares that my friends were giving me. I didn't even think about how hiding my past could affect the people in my present life. But this is also why I don't like to make friends.

"Ellie." He says to me, putting his hand on my arm which I immediately swat away. It was his brown hair and blue eyes, a killer combo. Something that always got me and made the girls swoon over him but I didn't know why he chose me of all the girls that wanted him.

"Ellie?" Jeff tilts his head to the side, looking at me, "Ellie!" He exclaims before laughing as soon as it comes to his realization. "This fucker is the reason why I can't call you that?"

Nate walks closer to him, "Who the hell do you think you're talking to?" I push him back, not knowing who would win if those two ever got into a physical altercation, but i'd rather not find out. "Stop it."

"Miella, you have a child?" David says, still in complete shock at the sudden news. It was no surprise that David wasn't handling it so well, in fact, all of them were looking at me with confusion.

"Can we talk outside?" Nate huffs, keeping his menacing gaze focused on Jeff.

The first few minutes of being outside consisted of us standing around, my hands crossed over my chest. "What the fuck Nate? You get your private investigator to come find me?" He purses his lips in a thin line while looking down at the ground.

"Oh my god!" Throwing my hands up in disbelief, "You actually did!"

"Miella you left New York with out telling me, what did you expect me to do? Then after looking for you I find out that I have a child and you're struggling with money again?"

I pinch the bridge of my nose in attempts to keep my emotional instability leveled. This is not how I planned for this to go. This moment right here shouldn't even be happening.

"You cheated on me Nate. Did you hear me? All I wanted to do was go to school at Constance so I could get into whatever ivy league will accept me and become a fucking doctor." The tears at this point, were streaming down my face as I broke down on the man who had my heart for so long. "I was supposed to follow my dreams but then you knocked me up and cheated on me."
