The Vaping Kid

It's always hard being the new kid. Specially for me, cause I've always been the quiet kid. Never really had many friends in my old school. I guess in a way that's a good thing, cause then moving out of town won't be so hard.

But this time I want it to be different. I want to be somebody, to have friends. To have a date to the dances! That's why I'm reinventing myself.

I'm trying to speak more and interact with the other kids. Luckily, the cool kids took me under their wings. I must admit it's a little weird, cause they're a bit mean and edgy. Normally I wouldn't like to hang out with them. In fact, I have more in common with their bullying victims than with them. But what can I say, they like me for some reason, and I'm not gonna be the one who rejects them.

Ok, ok, maybe it has something to do with the fact that Tyra is so very cute. She was actually the first one to talk to me. Well, she was kinda forced to, but still.

It was my first day, and I was at the principal's office to get my schedule. "Okay, miss Georgia, here's everything you need to know". He then escorted me to the door, and there she was. "Hey, Harold", she said. "Miss Tyra. Why am I not surprised", he sighed. "What is it this time". "Some bullshit", she replied. The secretary told him that she was caught vaping on the girls bathroom. The principal then told her that he would let it slide this one time, as long as she showed me around the school. It was a win-win-win.

She asked me where I used to go to school, and I told her New York. She was really impressed. She told me it's her dream to live there once she graduates. And that's what I think made her like me. So she ditched the boring tour and began to show me the real stuff (her words). And that's how I know all the make out spots, even though I've never used any.

We've been having lunch together ever since. She introduced me to her friends. She's quite nice, actually, if you ignore all the mean stuff she says about the teachers and the other kids.
