• Ki'Myra POV •
Wednesday, Jan.15th
1:00p.m.

Right now I'm at the clinic waiting for Ace. Jeilani is here with me.

"Hey you wanna just go back there? The doctor has already push the appointment back." He said making a point.

I just nodded my head. "I guess." I said with a sigh.

Just as I got up Ace walked in through the clinic doors.

"Where have you been? I have called you three times and the last time I did you said you were on your way 45 minutes ago. The doctor had to push the appointment back." I said really fast but clear enough for him to understand.

"I'm so sorry baby. I had got caught up with a few things and I'm so sorry." He said g really being my hand and looking me in my eyes.

"Nah fuck that. You should have been here. Today is the day to give your DNA and stuff so we can know if your the father. And you fucking around." I said snatching my hands away from him and then walking to the receptionist desk.

"Hi. Can you tell Dr.Baliro that WE are ready?" I said putting emphasis on "we" and then giving the lady a smile.

1:30p.m.

She nodded and I went sit back down.

Ace stared at me with a blank but sad expression while I waited for the dr while looking around the clinic for the 110th time.

"Yes Ace." I said with a nonchalant attitude.

"Nothing Ki'Myra. We just gon wait but I am sorry." He said looking down at his phone.

10 minutes later.

Dr.Baliro came out and got us and we followed her to the back.

"So Ki'Myra, how are you feel?" She asked.

"I'm good. Been chillin." I answered.

"Okay so which one of these young men is supposed to be the father?" She said eyeing Ace like she knew it was him.

"Um I am." Ace said speaking up.

"Alright well then can you leave sir." She said looking at Jeilani.

I spoke up. "He doesn't have to."

"Oh it's not like that. Just there's a limit to people in these rooms. The doctor, mother, father and/or family member." She explained.

"It's alright Myra. Ima go wait outside." Lani said.

"Alright." I said with a small sad expression.

I was kinda sad that Jeilani couldn't stay in the room with us.

"Alright mama. Let's check out ya baby." She said grabbing the gel.

I laid down on the clinic bed sheet and pulled up my shirt.

That gel cold as a mutha effer.

"Uh okay there's your baby." She said pointing at the screen. "It is now the size of a plum. By this time your baby has all it's important organs and stuff so all it needs to do now is grow and be a healthy little baby." She said with a small.

"So everything is fine. My iron level is good?" I asked.

"Yes yes. Your iron level is great and your baby is fine." She reassured me.

2:20p.m.

"That's great. Hey Ace can you-" I turned my head to see him with a small tear coming down his face. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"I'll give you two a minute." Dr.B said.

"What if this baby isn't mine?" He asked.

I was stuck. I didn't know what to say or think. He was right. What if the baby isn't his. I know that I wanna keep it but what does this mean for me and Ace. I love Ace but if this baby isn't his we won't be the same.

"I don't know Ace. I have been saying it was yours for so long I haven't thought about that." I said honestly.

"Well whatever. Ima be here for you. I love you Ki'Myra." He got up and leaned to kiss me on my forehead.

"Thank Ace." Just as we pulled away the dr came back in.

2:26p.m.

"Hey Doc." I said.

"So y'all ready to get this DNA test over with?" She asked.

We nodded our heads. She took Aces DNA then somehow took the baby's. It was over with in 10 minutes.

"Alright you guys. It's all over. I will have the DNA results to you in a week so by next Wednesday. I can call you, deliver into to your home, or make an appointment. Which would you like?" She asked.

Me and Ace looked at each other. "Uh you can send it to my home address." I said.

"Alright. Thanks guys. See you next month and hopefully you sir." Dr.Baliro said looking at Ace.

I chuckled. "I guess she told you."

"Girl hush. Come on and let's go get some food." Ace said getting up.

I got up and we left. When we got outside. We seen Jeilani outside smoking a blunt.

"Lani. Come on." I said waving him over to us as we walk to his car.

Ace got in his car and I got in the car with Lani.

"So how was it?" Jeilani asked.

"It was good. Baby is fine. I'm fine. Iron level is good. She took the DNA, and we get the DNA results next week." I said with a small expression.

"That's good. What's wrong?" He asked realizing my expression.

"In the doctors office. Ace asked me what if the baby wasn't his and I didn't have a real answer because I don't really know what it means for us if the baby isn't his." I confessed.

"It's gon be okay. Just be patient and even if the baby isn't his, y'all still have 6 more months to be with each other and spend time to get to that place. Y'all will be fine." Jeilani said.

He was giving me some good advice and I was gonna take it because he was right. Not only do I need to be patient but it won't matter because we can always try and rebuild what we had and could have.

And it only that at the moment I'm on a no stress thing. So if this will cause me stress, I don't wanna worry. Going back to my not worrying.

Can't wait to eat. I'm so hungry.
