I ran down the stairs not even thinking about Gaz. I was going to die anyways. I shivered at that thought. I can't believe I was actually going to do this.

I headed to the kitchen and looked over at the knives hanging from little hooks on the side of the wall. I hesitated before I reached out and grabbed the chef's knife. Chef knives are quite big so it might get the job done.

I set the knife on the table. If there was a chance that this could fail I had to have a backup plan to save my life. I walked into the living room and picked up the home phone that was sitting on the coffee table. My family was probably the only ones who had a home phone still.

I dialed in 911 but didn't press the call button. I set it down next to the knife and stood there. This was probably the scariest thing I was ever going to do. It had to be done. How else would I find out what's going on?

I started to pace back and forth and look at the knife every so often. I looked up at the clock that was hanging on the kitchen wall. 4:00 AM already? I had to get this done now. Gaz normally wakes up around 5:00 AM so I needed to hurry.

I walked over to the chef's knife and held it up to inspect it. It had a couple of scrapes on it from being used in the past. My family hasn't cooked since Dad made Foodio3000. But that's okay my Dad was awful at cooking.

I ran my figure across it. I hissed and pulled my hand away. I had cut my finger. It started to sting. I watched the blood drip down the side of my hand. I kinda wanted to chicken out. It really did hurt.

I started to shake. I could feel tears forming around my eyes. I had to do this. I was the only test subject after all. I put out my hand and grabbed the phone, hitting the call button and set it down. It started to ring.

I held the knife up in the air as it was ringing. I put it up to my chest to my chest and closed my eyes. Everything felt as if it was moving slower. I could hear my breathing. I waited for what felt like an eternity for the right moment.

"911 what's your emergency-"

I pulled up the knife and swung it a full force into my chest. A blood curtailing scream left my mouth as I tried to get air. I could hear the women on the other side of the phone ask if I was okay. I could also hear Gaz run down the stairs as I fell to the floor. The pain was unbearable. It felt as if my entire body was shutting down.

Gaz tried to help me and I could hear her yelling but I couldn't make out the words. My ears were ringing really loudly. It hurt. Everything hurts. And just like that everything was pitch black again.
