You had a job. It wasn't great, but, hey, it was there. You were now a not-so-proud worker at Wendy's!

Scott had already started working. As soon as he submitted his resume, it was accepted. He had his first day about a week ago. It's Tuesday, now. Your first day was next Monday. The anticipation and oncoming dread was already killing you.

Scott gets home around 6:13 A.M. He works as a night guard, but rarely talks about it. You've decided not to push the subject. Sitting alone in the dark seems scary itself.

Around that time, however, you're asleep. So he gets in bed with you and sleeps until about 4:00 P.M.

You left to go grocery shopping at 3:45, while Scott was still asleep. For the first time, you remembered the To-Get List! Go you!

When you came back, he was sitting on the couch watching a movie.

"Hey," You said to him, putting the bags on the counter.

"Hey. Can I help you?"

"Nah, I got it." You quickly put everything away, so you could see what he's watching.

"What's this?" You leaned over the couch.

"The Crescent. It's this fucked up psychological horror film, and I don't understand a thing."

"Oh, that movie? I watched it a few years ago. It... um... disturbed me."

"Sit down and watch it with me." He patted the fabric next to him.

"No, I'm not gonna watch it, but I'll sit with you." You laid down on the couch, facing away from the TV and toward the back of the couch, resting your head on his lap. You closed your eyes, and breathed. You could smell him. He always smells so nice.

You fell asleep on him.

While you were sleeping, he was still watching the movie, petting and combing his fingers through strands of your hair. He thought you were so pretty. He always assumed he'd be living by himself forever, leeching off his parents. He also knew that life threw some pretty weird curveballs, but this was a good one.

Your presence was also very calming to him.

All night, trying to fend off animatronics. It was insane. It was unreal. It was something he never wanted them to know about, because it was just too insane.

Later that night, with you and Scott in bed, you both had done some frisky business. Afterward, you both just laid there, staring at the ceiling.

"I love you." You spoke.

"I love you, too." He replied.

The next day, Scott was on the phone for an hour and a half. An unusual amount of time, but oh well, it's none of your business.

You were kicking the rug to pass time, but Scott finished the call.

"Hey [Y/N], I just invited my coworkers to hang out."

"Cool. Where?"

"Uh. Here."

"Umm.." You glanced around panicked. "I need to clean, an-and do the dishes, and-"

"Hey, no, it's fine," He put his hands on your shoulders.

"No, it's- it's not! I really do need to clean up," You shook from his hands, "When are they coming over?"

"In, like, half an hour?" He shrunk.

Oh my god, it was as if you were ripping your hair out. Metaphorically, of course.
