It's so easy to make people forget things sometimes. Tell them you need to tell them something later, they immediately get worried. You change your mind later on, and decide you don't want to tell them. You decided against sharing your problem with them. Stick them with a group of friends, stand at the back taking part occasionally, and they'll forget you were trying to tell them something in the first place. You're present there, and it's fine. It doesn't matter to them whether you say much or not. As long as you're present, they will not worry or notice anything wrong. They'll be so involved in their friends' conversations. You disappear somewhere midway - then they start worrying. Don't making the mistake of disappearing off somewhere if you are intending to keep a secret you agreed earlier to tell.
