2. The Photograph

Shen Wei slept very well, the first night in Shanghai was not too bad, except for the part where there was tension at dinner between his parents and Yezun. But the rest is all going well. Shen Wei stretched his body on the bed then walked the window. When he opened the curtain he saw a man leaning against his black car.  He could not see his face clearly because he saw from his room on the second floor.  Not long Yezun came out and greeted the man. Shen Wei was still paying close attention. The man smiled at Yezun then kissed Yezun on the cheek before opening the door of his car and invited Yezun to get in the car  Before they finally left.

"Wei?" Mrs. Shen called when she entered the room and saw her son was watching Yezun and the mysterious man from his windows.

"Oh. Mom" Shen Wei then turned and looked at his mother

"Are you Okay?" Asked Mrs. Shen while giving a glass of milk to Shen Wei

"Yes, sorry I woke up late and skipped breakfast together." Shen Wei then drank the milk his mother gave him

"No, it's okay baby. You must be tired from the long trip yesterday. As long as you don't feel pain, it doesn't matter. But today we have to go to the hospital because Doctor Lan wants to check your condition after a long trip yesterday"

"Okay Mom, but can I take a walk after that? I just want to go to the park and take photos" Shen Wei asked

"Of course, we can go to the park.  I will accompany you. The weather also doesn't seem too hot but we still have to ask Doctor Lan for permission"

"Thank you Mom, I'll get ready now" Shen Wei gave the glass whose contents were almost gone, kissed his mother's cheek and then went to the bathroom to get ready.

"I'll make you a sandwich," said Mrs.  Shen from outside the bathroom.

"Okay mom," Shen Wei answered.

"Why did you come to my house?" Yezun asked while on his way to work

"So what? I just want to pick you up. I thought you would introduce me to your parents"

"I will introduce you but later, if the time is right. After all, why do you want to meet them? What should I introduce you as?"

"Aren't we in a relationship?, it's been 2 years"

"Have you ever confessed your love? Or asking me to be your lover? We're just friends with benefits," Yezun said

"Why do you want formalities like that?  We're together, we kissed, we had sex.  What else?  It's just formality. Why make everything difficult and complicated?"

"Whatever, if you want to meet my parents, you just meet them yourself. No need to care about me and my feelings" Yezun replied lazily, he prefered to pay attention to the streets rather than talking to the man next to him.

Yezun really loves this man, but maybe he fell in love with the wrong man. This man has never expressed his love for Yezun. Sure, this man really cares about Yezun, spoiled Yezun and was always there when Yezun needed him. They kissed, they had sex, Yezun lived even more often in this man's apartment than in his own house. But what is their status?  This man never asked him to be his lover, once Yezun asked him to be his boyfriend but this man didn't answer anything. Is it hard to say love?  Or indeed this man does not know what love is at all.

Yezun actually wanted to leave this man, but he loved him too much.  And now he is trapped in a statusless relationship that slowly kills his feelings.

"So, everything is great. Well done Xiao Wei" said Dr. Lan while reading the results of Shen Wei's medical check-up "Are you in pain?"
