Wishing for the sun

As I rest on a broken bridge's end,

while a sea of my tears plays in the storm,

I call to the sky for a dearest friend

who'll soon embrace me with a kiss so warm

for I am the rain between the earth and sky,

who connects the hearts of separate spheres.

My heart calls out to my sun as I cry,

for soon we'll mingle in eternal year

but why o why does he hide in the clouds?

I bring the rain down, yet still he wont come.

Why o why does he hide in highest shrouds?

How long must I cry? This I cannot fathom!

Until I can feel my love's warmth sublime,

I'll reject the whole world until that time.
