Sea water?
See water
I branch out.
I see the water—a spaced mix of blue, black, and white.
I feel what a dragon the water is.
I swim with the whales.
Nervous that I could be killed at any moment,
but calm as I know they'd never do so.
I hear the whales;
Their calls being so broad and bold,
but so soothing and peaceful.
I didn't hear any boats or horns—
any signs of human life.
No gas no smoke,
no artificial waves.
Just the peace of water,
just the peace of nature.
The waves crashed down on to me and I dove down
to avoid the sharp sting of their natural slice.
The salt water rushes through me as I realize that
I can no longer hold my breath.
It felt like hours
beneath the surface,
when I know it has only been
three minutes.
I returned to the surface to find calm waters
and a captivating sunset.
The sun went further and further down, almost
as if it were sinking.
The whales called out once again.
It was too soon to leave the water.
I swim with the whales.
and then I surf the waves.
I leave home,
And stay home.
