Umi knows well that her body was tired out from all the previous battles and she can't even afford to stand. She knows that this night will be her last by just looking at how the blood trails down from her head and to her eyes. She should die or she will suffer more..
'But how about Honoka..??' Her mind whispered to her.. 'She's here,right? I thought we are going to protect her until Tsubasa and the others came.. You promised her girlfriend,right?Protect her at all cost..'
Umi can feel her heart beating faster as the ground shakes every step the guy takes. Her hearts feels like it was trying to free itself from the bars called ribs and slap her so she can face the reality that Honoka needed her , and the feet walking towards her. Her muscles feels sores and she can't afford to move her limbs in any distance,until she saw her bow slides down her shoulder. The string became instantly soaked with blood making it red. 'Is there anything that can remind you of something positive after seeing red other than blood and anger?' Her mind whispered again as it got louder.
"Love..?Passion? And Desire??" Umi muttered and she can see a silhouette with the same body shape and features as her nodding softly. 'Open your eyes now.. Umi Sonoda.'
"Umi-chan!" Umi was sure that she heard someone's voice. The familiar high pitched and sweet voice that she wishes was with her to comfort her at times like this. But she chose not to believe and think that it's just her imagination trying to motivate her. She won't want to see Kotori in the same place as her right now after all . Umi glared up at the guy and pulled a pair of arrows from her back. The opponent was about to stomp on her when she rolled to the side to make her back lay down on the ground perfectly. And that's when she pulled her bow from the ground with the strongest grip and pulled the string as far as she can. "I promised Tsubasa.." She muttered and aimed the arrows at the man's head. "I know if I lose in this fight,there would be no one who can protect my friend." She let go of the arrows and the man blocked in time with his arms.
Th opponent cried in agony and pain as the arrow pierced through his forearms, Umi took it as a chance to rollover to her side and kneel down on one knee. She aimed and fired another arrow that hits the enemy's shoulder. The opponent pulled all the arrows while groaning and tried to stab Umi with it but the blue haired pulled a knife from her boots and used it to slice the bloody arrows' shafts in half.
It made the opponent growl and he threw all the wooden stem on Umi who rolled to her side once again and fired another arrow that hits the man's right chest. The wound isn't as deep the first two arrows because Umi was moving and rolling around too much. The opponent pulled the arrow and threw it to his side before letting out a mighty roar that you can compare to a Lion's roar.
"Umi Sonoda! YOU FILTHY IDOL! HOW DARE YOU EMBARRASS ME IN THIS RING!" The man marched towards her direction,she reached for arrows only to find out that they are missing. She silently cursed under her breath before looking up at the man's scowl. Her eyes shifted on his body until she caught a glimpse of the arrow behind him.
"I won't forgive you!" The man growled at her as he raised up his foot to stomp on her.
"I won't forgive myself if I die in this fight!" Umi shouted back at him and uses the space between his feet and the ground and rolled down to his back before stopping right beside the arrow she have an eye on.
"What!?" It was too late for the man to turn around because Umi's skilled hands already pulled the string and arrow that she let go immediately after aiming at the back of his head. It hits perfectly piercing in the underside of his head,through his brain and skull and passed through the upper side. His eyes rolled to the back of his head before he falls down lifelessly on the ground.
The crowd turned silent. Umi didn't noticed that they're all in rage after the guy shouted at him because of the loud beats of her heart. She panted and stared down at the man.
"THE ARCHER WON ONCE AGAIN!!" The once silent crowd burst into loud chatters before letting out a loud uproar as Umi walked down the staircase and threw the bow on the ground before disappearing into the crowd.
'Why I was hearing Kotori's voice..?' She asked herself as she walks through the thick crowd who would either give a pat on her shoulder. Despite it being creepy,Umi doesn't care about it and was used to it after being stuck her in months. 'That's an imagination.. right??' She asked once again while looking down at her steps even though her head keeps bleeding. 'I need to get myself healed or Honoka will get worried.' She muttered but she was stopped from her tracks when something warm enveloped her shivering body.
The familiar warmth embraced her tighter and Umi can feel getting dragged somewhere along with the hugger until she opened her eyes and saw someone that she didn't expected to see in this place. "Kotori..." The lass just smiled at her. The familiar smile she loved to stare at. When was the last time she saw that? Was it in her dreams?
Someone started wrapping bandages around her head and she looked up to see Maki squinting her eyes lightly as she put a patch over her wound. On her other side was Eli who was wiping the blood off of her face. "Guys.." Behind Kotori,Rin was peeking her head out. Umi was so stunned that she was just smiling at the goddess before reality struck her heard when she hears footsteps coming from behind the and she immediately closed the curtains and placed a finger on her lips to silence the group. They all hunched down other than Umi who was standing in the middle of them.
" Sonoda-san!That's the last fight so you're free to rest!" The man behind the curtains said and Umi just nodded as if the guy can actually see her actions. Footsteps started fading again and Umi peaked out to see nothing but the audience facing the ring so no one can see them. Umi sighed before she felt the same warm arms around her and she hugged the smaller and slimmer frame. "I'm glad you guys are now safe.." The blue haired girl nuzzled her way to Kotori's neck the female rubs circles on her back for comfort and Umi can feel herself crying if she weren't out of water. Maki passed her a bottle of water and she drank it until water and air was sapped out of it but before she can even cry,a device rang from her pocket. She fished out for the small foldable phone and gave it to Eli.
"I have contacts with the rest of A-Rise."
