Life in prison shouldn't be as easy as this. Prison should be hell on earth for a murderer like him. But he took to it like a duck to water.

The prisoners respected him, Where's the guards not only feared him but they stayed far away as possible from him. So this, of course, led the great George Martin to live comfortably during his prison stay, kind of like some big mafia boss.

Some of the other prisoners became afraid of him when they found out what he was convicted for. And some opposed his so-called leadership in prison and wanted to be number one themselves, even though they knew exactly what he was capable of.

So this lead some to tread carefully around him and some were stupid enough to get in his way which of course, lead them to owe him a few favours.

And today was the day he was going to collect.

He walks up to a familiar cell where Tyson the carjacker resides in. "You owe me a favour and today is the day where you grant it to me."

Tyson stood up in his sleeveless top that showed off his tattoos and walked over to him in a menacing manner. "Now, let's be strictly clear, I owe you nothing and it won't be long before someone knocks you off that high perch of yours and then where will you be? I'd tread carefully if I were you."

He smirks in reply, "Tyson, Tyson, Tyson that's where you're wrong my boy. Have you forgotten what I'm capable of?"

Tyson scoffs, "What you gonna do? Murder me? I'm not some weak teenage girl, I'd like to see you try."

He laughs, "As I recall, You were pretty close to murdering that poor woman who's car you stole with that knife of yours. You had the intent but didn't have the balls to do it. I, on the other hand, do so if were you I'd tread very carefully, after all, I've murdered once who's to say I won't again? Need I remind you that Murder doesn't discriminate."

Tyson nodded uncomfortably, "I'll think about it."

He smirks and slaps him on the shoulder. "I knew you'd come to my way of thinking. But, don't take too long because I have a time-sensitive job that I need to do."

He shakes his head as he leaves, "Oh, How I hate loose ends."

Lauren's point of view

She stood at the window waiting for Martin to arrive. Did she overthink this? Was this the best idea?

It probably wasn't, to be honest, but She had to move on somehow and help him in some way to move on as well. Perhaps then she might be able to forgive him for Nathan's brutal murder?

Her parents might not agree with this idea but what choice did she have? Without either of her parents around she wouldn't be able to afford the family home.

The house she shared with Tilly would be gone and so many memories would be lost but not only that, It would be a home for a new family and new memories made and she just wasn't ready for that yet.

A noise of a car breaks her away from her thoughts. It was, of course, Martin. She watches as he pulls out a small suitcase. Lauren runs to the door to meet him. "Is that all you're bringing? Martin, You're supposed to be moving in."

He looks at her soberly, "To tell you the truth I've thought long and hard about this and I don't think it's a good idea to move in permanently just temporarily until your dad gets back."

She nodded at him understanding. The truth was she was glad they had buried the hatchet. "Why don't you leave your stuff in the porch and then we can go and see Nathan and Tilly before we head to the shops to get some food and we can talk?"
