"Bitch, stop laughing!" Winter squealed. She had come to visit Alessia here in Morristown and they had decided to take a trip to the mall.

What caused Alessia to laugh, was the eighteen-year old in front of her shoving the food on her full plate down her throat. Honestly, she was not even in the position to judge, given the fact that she looked similar to her to her friend. Yet, seeing her small face stuffed with food, literally stuffed, made Alessia break into a fit of laughter.

"You-" She coughed not being able to finish her sentence. The fry she had been chewing got caught in her throat and it caused her to begin choking. Now, it was Winter's turn to laugh and laugh she did. By the time Alessia had recovered from almost dying, she was wheezing, slapping her hand against her chest repeatedly.

She glared at her younger friend jokingly before giggling herself. Times like this made her realize how thankful she should have been for the people she had, not ungrateful for what or who she didn't have. At the end, that was what mattered.

After their laugher died down, they earnestly dug into the food like pigs and when their tummies were sated, they sat back and kept talking a bit about everything. Sadly Tiana wasn't able to join them today since she was out on a 'whole day date' with Giuliano.

"So how are you holding up? How's college going?" She asked and Alessia shrugged in response. "The usual stuff. That goes for both questions."

She glanced at her warily, the curiosity lingering right behind with the genuine concern she felt. "Did you talk to him?"

"Yeah," Alessia sighed, she hated herself for doing that. "I called him and sounded like a clingy girlfriend about a week or two ago but since then I haven't tried. I don't care anymore, really,"

Winter smiled warmly, nodding her head as she thought that would be what her friend needed right when it comes to the topic of the tall Italian.

"Honestly, I'm thinking of getting a boyfriend, too." She pouted, changing the topic. Getting a boyfriend wouldn't have been too bad, she only had to make sure that having one would not interfere with her education and future. There was no way she would have let someone make her lose focus.

"You sure?"

Alessia knew why Winter wanted confirmation. She knew very well.

Winter was afraid that if he found out that Alessia got involved with a guy, in any way possible, he would react badly. She believed so too, but as she said before she did not care anymore. She would not allow herself to.

"Yes. I'm too pretty to be single,"

Chuckling, they left their seats and threw away the trash before going to the nail salon that had recently opened. Winter requested for a nail studio earlier and this one had good reviews for the short time it had been opened so she took her there, though Alessia was dying to get hers done too again.

The savings she had from her high school jobs back home were almost completely used up, so she would have to find a job soon. Her parents told her that if she ever experienced financial problems they would support her immediately. They were well off but she did not like to talk about it nor use her parents' money in general.

This college gave me her full on academic scholarship. She had been her grade's best graduate and for that she worked unbelievably hard, she took part in multiple extracurricular activities while keeping her grades on top. Even if they did not see or notice themselves, her parents were people that were hard to please and quite demanding.
