I woke up the next morning and tried to move, but that proved to be a fruitless effort. I tried it again and this time, whatever was holding me down got a tighter grip causing me to flop back and hit my head rather hard on the pillow that was not soft enough. I looked behind me to see the sleeping face of Derek, who had a contented look on his face.

I groaned in distress. Whenever he spends the night and we end up sleeping in the same room or same bed, he gets and iron-like grip on my waist, hand, or foot, that's nearly impossible to break out of unless he's awake. There was no way I was getting out of this one. Not at this time and definitely not when he's so comfortable.

I shifted around to face him and started to try and wake Der up. I started poking his abdomen and chest, but he only grabbed my hand and held it in place on his chest, sighing as he did so. I wriggled to get my other hand free, and when I did, he did the exact same thing and held it in place against his chest. I could have done the unimaginable and kicked him where the sun don't shine, but not even I was that cruel to him, and immediately got the thought out of my head.

"Der." I said and he only grumbled. I tried it again, louder this time in a hope that my voice would make him wake up, but it only seemed to make him sleep heavier. "Derek." I said his full name, and he pulled me forward more by my hands so they were wrapped around him and my head was laying on his chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist to keep me in place from moving and to stop talking.

"Not today, buttercup." He whispered and some drool started coming out of the corner of his mouth, making me freak out a little and gag ever so slightly as it started to slide down to his chin.

"Derek! Seriously wake up!" I tried yelling louder but to no avail as it was muffled by Derek himself. If this boy slept any more soundly, than I swear we would be the equivalent to a bag of bricks. Completely useless until the occasion you needed it for arose. I thought I had heard either a chuckle, or giggle, or something resembling laughter very silently, but I couldn't see anything, or hear any other movement, so I quickly dismissed the idea of someone being there and went back to trying to escape the task at hand.

It had taken a minute or two, but Derek had gotten this sour look on his face, and started stirring. Finally, his eyes opened and he looked around before scooting back a little, while still keeping his hold on me, and looked down at me, a smile growing on his face and his grip tightening ever so slightly.

"Morning Scar!" Derek said cheerily and I rolled my eyes.

"Morning Sourwolf." I said and pure confusion washed across his face as he looked at me with furrowed brows.

"Sourwolf?" He questioned and I nodded.

"You always get this sour look on your face before you wake up. Sourwolf." I restated and he chuckled a low deep chuckle.

"You're never gonna drop that nickname are you?" He groaned and I shook my head.

"Nope!" I said happily and he sighed, nodding in understanding, allowing me to laugh at his defeated expression.

"Aw, how aborable!" a voice says and me and Derek look up at the same time to see my family and his standing there. Everyone there either had a small smile, or a full blown grin. Except for Peter.

Who was smirking.

"Well good morning, you two." He sang to us, making me and Derek untangle our legs and arms and sit up in the bed. "Scar." He nodded his head to me. "Sourwolf." He did the same to Derek and laughed loudly, throwing his head back, before turning around and cackling as he trotted down the stairs.

"Ugh." I groaned and rolled my eyes while flopping back down to a laying down position.

"Come on you two. It's about time you got up, it's almost one." Talia stated and she gave us a smile before pushing everyone out and closing the door. "I was almost worried that you wouldn't wake up." she said behind the door, and I looked at Derek and smacked his smirking face with a pillow.

"And what are you smirking about, Der?" I asked and he pushed the pillow down and leaned on it.

"Nothing, just admiring your beautiful brown locks." He stated and I looked to the mirror across the room and grimaced. It looked like a family of rats were camping in my hair. I flipped the covers off and stepped on the ground.

"I'm going to take a shower. Be back in a few minutes." I told him and he nodded. I walked to my bathroom and turned on the hot water after closing the door. I spent extra time making sure I had gotten all the tangle out of my hair as the strong scent of my shampoo invaded my senses

The water pressure went down slightly as Derek came in to brush his teeth as he always does when he spends the night here, and to wash his face to get the waking up feel off of his body. I rinsed off my body from the suds of my body wash before turning off the water and wrapping a towel around my frame and my hair, opening the double curtains and seeing Derek waiting for me to get out.

"Got your towel?" I asked and he nodded holding it up for proof. "Don't take too long." I said and he saluted me. I walked out closing the door behind me.

The whole Derek being in the bathroom thing while I'm in there didn't bother me. It was normal for us, we had been doing it since we were little, and it was what we had grown accustomed to.

I wiggled into some leggings, the task being proved difficult since I was in my small closet, and threw on one of my old baseball shirts, finding comfort as it smelled more like Derek and fabric softener than it did of me and my perfume.

I fluffed up my brushed hair and walked down the stairs, being careful not to slip since it was something I had been known for since I was able to walk. Little did I know, that something was waiting for me at the bottom that would completely contradict any precautions I had taken in being careful at all.
