Once Bruce and Alfred left, the four brothers returned to the movie, ignoring the team who were all standing at the back of the room uncomfortably.
It wasn't until the one introduced as Jason looked back that their presence was acknowledged. He walked over to them, a glare on his face. Jason stopped a few feet away from the team to glance back at his brothers, all three of whom were enthralled by the movie.
Satisfied that they weren't paying attention, he returned his glare to the team. "Listen, dad says that you are here to protect us from...something. But I'm letting you know that we don't need any protecting. We can take care of ourselves."
"That's cute." Artemis pat his head. "How old are you anyways? Five?"
"I'm seven and a half!" Jason smacked her hand away. "And we can handle ourselves, so be on your way, will ya?"
"Mmm, sorry, we have a job to do." Artemis almost laughed at the angry pout on Jason's face. "So, squirt, we are staying here until Batman gets back."
Jason furrowed his brow, a look of confusion taking over the pout. "Batman? But da-"
Dick heard the mention of Batman and flipped over the back of the couch, tackling Jason and covering his mouth. "Shhh!" He hissed in his younger brother's ear. "Dad said we can't tell anyone."
Jason's pout returned and he pushed Dick off of him. "No fair!"
"Life isn't fair, Jay. Now come on, its almost to your favorite song."
Jason perked up at that, trotting back to the couch after grabbing Dick's hand. Once they were seated, Dick turned around and glanced at the team who were still standing in the doorway. He motioned them over and they reluctantly moved, sitting down on the opposite couch and floor.
"This movie is so great." Jason sighed in content as Olaf sang on screen.
"I especially like the part where Elsa makes the snow giant!" Tim squealed, earning a shushing sound from Jason. "Oops, sorry, Jay."
The team exchanged a glance amongst each other, talking through the mind link.
Are we really going to stay here and watch Frozen rather than go on actual missions?
Hey, the kids need a babysitter and Wayne specifically requested us.
What does the mob even want with a bunch of little kids?
Who knows? We still have to protect them.
This sucks.
You're telling me.
Damian suddenly leapt off the couch, making a mad dash out of the room. His brothers ignored him, leaving M'gann to chase after him. She found him outside the bathroom, a sad look on his face. M'gann cautiously approached the three year old, crouching down next to him. "Damian? What's wrong?"
He looked up at her with tear filled eyes. "I...I had an accident." M'gann's eyes widened and she inhaled sharply. Damian burst into tears. "Please don't be mad at me! I tried to hold it."
M'gann sighed, pulling the small child into her arms. "Damian, I'm not mad at you. C'mon, lets go get you cleaned up." M'gann let Damian show her to his room, following the young boy over to his dresser. She pulled out a new pair of pants and underwear, handing them to the child to change into while she turned around.
After a moment Damian was tugging on her hand. "I want to see my brothers now."
M'gann smiled down at the small boy, leading him back to the living room after tossing his soiled clothes down the laundry shoot. The pair made it back to the group, Damian trotting over to his brothers while M'gann sat back with the team. They gave her curious looks and she just shrugged in return, not wanting to let the team know Damian had an accident, lest she embarrass him.
The movie soon ended and the four brothers looked over to the team, all of them cocking their heads to the side in unison.
Yikes, that's not creepy...
Tim was the first one to pull himself off the couch and over to the team, standing in front of them with puppy dog eyes. "We're hungry. Please make us some food."
The team sighed, standing up and following the family into the kitchen. Wally walked over to the fridge. "What do you boys want?"
The boy's eyes lit up. "Ooh, pizza!"
"I thought you wanted us to make you something...?"
"Well, that was before we realized we could have pizza." Dick smiled innocently. "Don't worry, dad will pay for it. Just put it on his card."
These kids have access to billions of dollars via credit card?! What the heck?
Relax, I'm sure they don't know how to use it.
Dick handed the credit card over to Kaldur. "The security code is 342."
...you were saying...?
Why do they need to know how to use a credit card?!
Uh, for situations like this?
True, true. You got me there.
Kaldur pulled up the pizza house website and ordered a bunch of pizzas, using Bruce Wayne's credit card, of course. He turned to look at the four brothers, who were watching him eagerly. "The pizza shall be here in thirty minutes."
"Yay!" They yelled in unison, Jason and Dick highfiving each other.
"Yummy yummy in my tummy!" Tim squealed.
The team looked at each other before shrugging, all thinking the same thing.
Free pizza? Maybe this isn't so bad...
