Friday slowly brightens the room and puts on the news. I grown covering my head with the pillow to block out the traitorous sun and news casters. I hear the muffled voice of Friday telling me that it is 7:00am. I gron again, but flip the pillow off of my head and stumble out of my room and into the elevator.

I stumble more than walk to kitchen and bless Friday, she already has a warm cup of coffee ready. I take it, closing my eyes and take the first blissful sip of the drink.

"Thanks Fri." I say, my voice sleep roughed and my eyes still closed.

"Your welcome Tony." She says back.

I instructed Friday to only call me 'boss' in the afternoon or when I'm more awake. I don't know, I don't like hearing boss in the morning. It seems like I'm already at work when I don't want to be.

I hear a muffled laugh and peak one eye open. Loki is sitting at the counter top, with an open bag next to him, reading a book.

"Good morning Tony." He says.

I narrow my eyes at him, noticing his black, clean V-neck top, his black leather pants, his combed and slicked back hair, and his awake eyes. "How are you awake?"

He simply says, "On Asgard we have different time zones so right now it's about 2pm there."

"Really?" I ask with as much curiosity as my sleep deprived brain is allowing me.

"No." His face broke into a grin, "No, it's 7 am Tony, I am going to be awake."

I narrow my eyes at him again, "You really are an alien."

He smirks, "The same could be said for you."

I take another sip of my coffee, "I suppose. Anyway how did you sleep."

"Very well, thank you for your hospitality."

"Your welcome."

"What about you?" I notice Loki's expression and it is one of pure, genuine interest.

So no harm in responding, "As well as can be expected from me, I guess."

"Which would entail?" Again,, another look of genuine interest.

"Mostly up all night and a few good hours towards the morning." I take another sip of my coffee.

Loki's eyes narrow, but in concern, "You should sleep more."

I bark out a laugh, "Now you sound like Rhodey."

His green eyes morph in confusion as he asks, "Who is this Rhodey you speak of?"

I take another sip of my coffee and let out a fond sigh, "My best friend, who has always had my back and who is now an Avenger." Loki gives me a confused look and I wave my hand, "You never met him."

Loki nods then says almost wistfully, "I would like to meet the people who you favor."

I quirk an eyebrow at him, party in suspicion and partly in genuine curiosity, "Yeah, why?"

"I would like to have more people fighting alongside me then fighting against me."

I read in between the lines, he wants friends. I smile at the man, all suspicion dropping after that realization. Loki seems to notice my change in attitude as well because he quirked an eyebrow at me, but I waved him off. We sit in silence for the next couple minutes the only sound being me drinking my delightful drink and the pages turning of the book Loki is reading. I move around the counter to go back and get ready, but something caught my eye. An intricately woven black bag. There seems to be multiple fabrics and materials woven into the stitching and one is even glowing.
