Chapter 14

Karma POV

I end up sleeping in, happy to have a day off work from my long and busy week. I get out of bed, shower and change. I quickly add some make up and throw my hair into a messy bun. Not wanting to do much.

Once done, I grab my usual - keys, phone and purse. I head to the hospital mum stays in for her treatment. I text Andrew and sad that he won't be able to catch up today but agreed to catch up tomorrow. I stopped at a cute bakery and pick up mum some cookies. When I get to her room, instead of knocking, I open her door to surprise her.

"Surprise Mum!"

What I see, was not what I was expecting. I freeze, dropping the bag with the box of cookies. Being the one who's surprised.

"Uhhh...hey dad"

I awkwardly stand there, just seeing my parents full on locking lips and gripping each other. Normally I'd be happy but this came as a full on surprise.

"Hija. Come in"

"Hija! Yes. Come in. We have some good news" my mum says with full smiled

"Oh. I can probably guess what it if after seeing what I just walked into. These are for you mum. Sorry I dropped them"

My dad starts laughing, "have you never seen two grown people kiss before?"

"I have but wasn't expecting that. Wait. Are you two dating again?"

Mum blushes and looks away.

"OMG. Dad?"

"Well...uhhh.... we're just seeing where it goes"

"So not dating but pretty much benefits of dating?"

"Yeah, I guess you can say that. Is this weird so you?" Mum asks worriedly

"I mean, what kid wouldn't want their parents back together. Just don't screw it up, either of you or I'm giving you both a piece of my mind" I feel weird acting like a parent to my own parents. I set the cookies down and sit down to hug mum and dad.

"Same as always Hija. I'm keeping the faith. So tell me, how was your other date?" Mum asks

I felt dads eyes burning into me. "Yeah Karma, how was it?"

"I had fun. He was very sweet. Before you ask dad, no, he didn't hurt me or force me do anything. We did kiss. That's all

"Awww, that's so sweet sweetie. I'm glad you had fun"

I debate if I should say anything about Frankie and his bet and the way Aiden acted at the hospital, though I decide to tell her and deal with my dad outburst after.

"Thanks mum"

"How are your boys doing? Uh..... Frankie and Aiden correct?"

"Yes mum"

"Yes, how are they?" Dad asks

"Well, Frankie has a bet going that he can get me into his bed by the next date"

"WHAT!?" ,u dad basically screams. I hush him before he can't disturb anybody.

"Oh no! No bueno!" No bueno means no good

"It's okay. I have a plan for when we go out. Teach him not to bet on females again. As for she ti the hospital all bruised up. I asked what happened and he got mad at me"

"Aww sweetie. He was just having a bad day. I'm sure he'll come around" Mum reasons

"They better hope we don't meet them. They will regret hurting my baby girl" my dad says grumpily
