"Mom PLEASE!!" I begged."Why do I always have to go with Evie! I never get to stay home and hang out with Stella and Maddie who are MY friends! Or even Tyler! MY boyfriend!" I finished.

I was standing in the kitchen staring at my parents. Waiting for them to understand why I shouldn't have to babysit my older sister. "Kaylee, you know why you have to go with your sister." My mom said. She was trying to say it nice and calmly but it was obvious that she was getting a little frustrated.

"You're our only child we can trust to be out and about without getting into trouble." My dad chimed in. Evie was sitting at the other end of the breakfast table with a smirk on her annoying little face. I rolled my eyes. "Fine..." I huffed. "Let me go get dressed I'll be right back..."

As I dragged myself up the stairs to my tiny room, I was wishing I could just go over to Stella's house and hang out with her and Maddie. I haven't seen them since school got out for summer break.

Even though we have only been out for about two weeks, Evie is driving me crazy and I miss my friends so much! Plus, I've been wanting to go out with Tyler again.

We text a lot but its just not the same. It has been hard to meet up with them lately because Tyler just started a job at the movie theater in town.

Tyler and I have been dating since 6th grade and now we're juniors in high school. Everyone says that we are perfect for eachother and that we are going to get married. At first I believed them. But lately, I feel like me and Tyler have been drifting apart. I'm pretty sure we're not going to last much longer.

Sometimes when we go out to eat, I catch him looking at other girls. But he insists that he is just 'staring off into space' and that 'I'm the only girl in the world for him and he loves me with all of his heart'. Usually that would touch me and I would feel alot better. But recently I feel like he doesn't exactly mean it or that he just saying it to say it.

I finished getting dressed and I grab my purse. I was wearing my favorite pair of skinny jeans and a sporty, green shirt with ruffles on it. I through on my tennis shoes and started walking down the stairs. Evie yells up to me, "Get your butt down stairs right now! I'm not getting any younger and by the time you get down, I'm going to be like 40 and then no cute boys will ever date me because I'm going to be all wrinkly, smelly and gross!!"

"No boys will even date you now so I don't see what's the big deal..." But I didn't actually day that to her. I just mumbled it to my self.

When I reached the bottom of tge stairs. "Took you long enough!" Evie said to me. I just just rolled my eyes. "Evie, be nice to your sister, okay? Kaylee is coming with you even though she doesn't want to. Its the least you can do." My dad told her.

He has my back most of the time for stuff like this. We are a lot closer than me and my mom are. "Thanks daddy!" I said. He just smiled back. I looked at Evie and she looked back. I smiled real big and she took a deep breath and rolled her eyes. "What are you waiting for? Get in the car lets go!" Evie snapped.

We walked out the door and got in Evie's best friend Amy's car. Her other friend Brianna was in the passengers seat so me and Evie sat next to each other in the back. Yay me...

"Why do we always have to bring that little brat?" Amy asked. "I'm only a year younger than you guys. It's not like I'm in 5th grade or anything." I exclaimed. "Oh. I'm sorry! Its just the way you dress, I was certain you were in 5th grade! My bad!" Brianna shot back. They all started to laugh simultaneously. I just rolled my eyes again.

After a long grueling half hour, we finally got to the mall. All of us hopped out and started to head in. Right before we walked through the mall doors, Evie, Brianna, and Amy stopped. Evie turned around and stared into my eyes. She lowered her voice and said "Act like you don't know us. I want you to walk about 15 feet back and don't talk to us. If you embarrass me you will regret it deeply. Do you understand?" She made it very clear she didn't want to be seen with a 'little baby junior'. I just said whatever and let them walk in.

They walked in all sassy like and I followed several feet back. Evie and her annoying little posse were checking out boys as the walked by. We weren't even in the building for 5 minutes and all of a sudden Evie screams on top of her lungs."AHHHH! Jake Carver is here!" Everyone and I mean EVERYONE turned and stared.

Some with fright or some with a shocked look in their eyes. Others tured as to expect to see a little girl getting kidnapped or murdered. I was just trying not to laugh. She said I was the embarrassing one? Nope. She was doing that part on her own.

When Amy and Brianna realized what Evie said they screamed as well. Man, this was getting good. They boys that were once checking out my sister and her friends began to laugh or walk away frightened. Amy and Brianna both yelled"What!? Where!?" Evie said that he was signing autographs in the food court. They all started running off towards the food court.

I just sighed. Jake Carver is a 'world wide teen pop sensation'. Evie and her friends were overly obsessed with him. I honestly didn't see the big idea. He was just a spoiled rich teenage boy that could sing. I don't understand why everyone goes gaga over him. Plus when he gets interviewed, he is a jerk to everyone.

Jake recently said on TV that they were going to make a movie and he was going to be the star. Really? I didn't want to go with my sister to meet this "superstar" but I had no choice. My parents were relying on me to keep an eye on my OLDER sister.
