Day Three
Aurelia woke up the following night at about 8 to the smell of bacon and coffee. She sat up and stretched out her arms, glancing around her bed. Her clothes from the night before were strewn out across the floor and there was a shopping bag on the edge of the bed. She tilted her head curiously and grabbed it to find a note pinned to the plastic.
Noticed you were lacking in some decent clothes. Picked you up some shit. Hope it fits. - Marko
Aurelia blushed slightly before quickly getting dressed. She happily tugged on the jacket after sliding on her shoes and made her way towards the main area. When she entered the room Paul was cooking breakfast over a fire, Marko was sketching something and David was caught in a chess match with Dwayne. And guessing by the frustrated look on David's face... Dwayne was kicking his ass... Hard. Dwayne was the first to see her and gave her a soft smile.
"Good morning, Lia." He used the nickname he had given her the night before as he pinned David's king, "Checkmate."
"Son of a bitch!" David hissed and flicked over Dwayne rook in annoyance, "Every fucking time."
"You're getting better." Dwayne rolled his eyes and started collecting his pieces.
"Better my ass! That's the fourth game in a row today!" Paul snickered and ducked as David threw a rock at him.
The rock nearly slammed into Marko but the curly haired man tilted his head out of the way without looking away from his sketchbook.
"David!" Aurelia gasped and walked over to check on Paul, smacking the side of his head, "You could have hit either one of them!"
David raised a brow and rubbed his head, looking over at Dwayne amused, "Did she just discipline me?"
"I believe she did." Dwayne grinned and finished boxing up his pieces.
"You got a lot of guts, sweet thing." David chuckled and reached out to snag her by the waist.
Aurelia scoffed as she was suddenly in David's lap, the man smirking at her over her shoulder, "You're full of yourself you know that?"
"Food's ready!" Paul stood up with the pan proudly showing off the bacon and eggs he had made, "Ladies first." He winked and scooped out a portion onto a plate for her.
She happily took it along with the coffee cup Dwayne passed her, "Thank you. It smells yummy."
"Surprised he didn't burn it again." Marko grumbled making her eyes widen.
"Again?"
Dwayne answered her question by pointing to another pan on the floor in the corner, charred food inside and a fire extinguisher beside it. She gasped and looked at a sheepish Paul who shrugged. As she went to fire off questions about his well being and how he possibly managed it... A strange burning sensation lit up beneath her skin.
Aurelia shrieked out in pain and clutched hard at her chest, dropping her plate which was caught by Dwayne. She folded herself into David's arms as a strange heat spread across her skin. Her breath came out in sharp pants and tears rolled down her cheeks. She could swear she heard snarls and voices shouting at each other. But it was fuzzy, as if her head was under water. She tried to focus on the sight above her.
David was crouched over her now desperately holding down her shoulders as she thrashed against the burning. He was shouting something at her. His blue eyes now bright yellow and his face beginning to morph. But she couldn't focus.
"Aurelia! Keep your fucking eyes open! Someone get me my jacket! Sleeve in her mouth!" David roared as he tried to keep her mouth open.
"What? What?!" Paul screamed in his panic.
"So she doesn't bite off her fucking tongue you dip shit!" Marko snarled at him.
"Oh! Got it!"
"Dwayne, hold her legs down! Marko her arms! Hurry the fuck up!" David ordered.
"David! Her skin!" Marko hissed when his hands came in contact with her bare skin, the mate bond screaming in him to take her.
"I fucking know! No skin contact! Whatever you do don't fucking touch her bare skin." David growled and was thankful he had his gloves on.
"Is this normal?!" Paul cried out as he stuffed the sleeve of David's leather jacket between her teeth.
"Does it look like it's fucking normal?!"
"David, keep her eyes open." Dwayne spoke calmly but they all knew there was a storm brewing inside him.
"I am trying!" David roared, his beast fully emerging.
"Let Marko do it!"
"Fine!"
"Aurelia! Keep those pretty green eyes open for me, doll. Come on. That's it." Marko shifted into David's place above her, cooing to her gently, "Just look at me. Keep your eyes on me. Relax. We got you, baby girl. You're okay. Breath through your nose. Breathe with me okay? In, out. In, out. Good. Keep doing that."
Aurelia's body started to relax, the raging fire now a full burn that ignited something within her. Her mind began to uncloud and Marko's face came fully into focus. Everything began to come back down. The tears slowed, her breathing calmed, heart quit racing.
"That's it. There's my girl. You good, now? Not gonna spazz out on us again?" Marko laughed softly trying to ease the tension in the room.
Slowly David, Dwayne and Paul released what parts of her they were holding down. Once she was free Marko slid off of her and helped her sit up. She choked on her breath when she was able to clearly see David's face. David sighed in defeat and slumped back against his chair.
"Well shit."
Aurelia scurried away from the four of them, eyes wide in fear. She grabbed a rock and clutched it tightly in her grip making Dwayne hiss softly.
"W-what are you?" She whispered.
"Here goes nothing."
