Finding my Imprint

Chapter Two

Everyone had done their best to help Leah phase back. Even Sam had tried. But to no avail.

Sam's trying had made things worse. Though Leah had understood that Sam had imprinted on Emily, she had still blamed them both.

Leah had been troubled by her phasing. Being the first female to phase had put her in the limelight with the Elders. They had wanted to know everything. Forcing her to go the the clinic that her Mom worked at for tests.

In doing so Leah had learned that she wasn't having her period. And probably never would as long as she phased.

The news was devastating for Leah. She blamed Sam, and the pack. But most of all she blamed the Cullen's. Leah had always wanted kids.

Leah did her best to hide her true feelings from everyone. The guys already viewed her as a bitch.

She spent every moment making her feelings well known. She was sure to remind them of how she felt about Sam.

Besides her brother, Seth, Leah did her best to protect Embry, Jake, and Quil. Jared and Paul seemed to have a handle on things. But the younger pups would often need help.

Leah was often on patrol with Jake, Seth, or Paul. Though Sam had respected the fact that Leah had been chosen to phase, he wasn't happy with it. And her attitude made things worse.

One night while she was patrolling with Jake, she had made a mistake. Jake had been obsessing over Bella Swan. Which was nothing new. Leah didn't think that he was paying any attention to her.

In her mind she had been replaying the clinic visit and trying to work out her feelings. But of course Jake had heard.

Jake had offered comfort and a listening ear. Leah had been vulnerable enough that she had accepted his offer. The two had talked long into the night.

Leah had felt somewhat better getting things off of her chest. And Jake had kept his word not to say anything.

The pack had began to notice a strange vamp on the rez. She had kept toeing the line with them.

Though the Cullen's had just came back to Forks, it wasn't them. It was the same vampire that had been after Bella for months.

Bella had came back to the rez after visiting her Mom in Florida. The pack had met her outside. The guys joking around in their usual ways.

It was the first time that she had been back to the rez since Leah and Seth had phased. Jake had introduced her to Leah.

Leah didn't care for Bella. The human had the ability to get into far to much trouble. And she sided with the Cullen's. She toyed with Jakes emotions.

Leah being the outspoken woman that she is had confronted Bella. Telling her "If you're here to toy with Jacob some more, feel free to leave".

Going to the tree line Leah had phased. Ripping her clothes in the process. Leah couldn't understand Bella's need to be around the Cullen's.

The boys had phased soon after Leah had. Filling Leah's mind with their chatter. Leah was still pissed and didn't want to hear their bs. She had ran to the tree where she had stashed extra clothes.

Phasing back Leah had headed to her spot. The place that she goes to calm down.

The cove beneath the cliffs has always had it's way to sooth her. Calming her down within moments of her arrival.

Leah had sat there long into the evening. As darkness had descended over the land, Leah hadn't moved. She had spent the time trying to decide what to do.

As the moon had started to ascend Leah had heard soft footfalls upon the sand. As the steps had stopped in front of her she had looked up.

  The person standing in front of her was the last person that she thought she would find. Paul Lahote.
