'Well, that was not my finest moment.' Torinn thinks to himself with a sigh as he enters Beacon's Training Arena. After apologizing four times to the Schnee Heiress for knocking over her luggage, during which he received a lecture on the importance of Dust along with a pamphlet called "DUST for Dummies and other Inadequate Individuals". It goes without saying that he was mildly offended by the implication that he was quote 'a dummy'.
He looks around the Training Arena, gazing at all the different faces that are present, trying to glean some insight into the individuals he will be spending four years amongst as a fellow student.
The first one he observed is a male with burnt-orange hair that is combed backward with a slight peak at the front, indigo eyes and wears silver-gray armor with gold trim. He seems to exude arrogance, a trait that will inevitably lead to one's downfall.
Torinn then looks to see two females, one speaking quickly and excitedly, while the other was calm and composed.
The excited one is a fair-skinned young woman with orange hair and turquoise eyes. She wears a collared black vest that ends at her waist. Under the vest are two layers of clothing, colored red and light-blue respectively, and a short pink skirt that starts at the waist and ends mid-thigh.
The composed one is a young woman with long black hair that ends midway down her back. There is a magenta streak on the left side of her hair. Her eyes match the streak in her hair and her clothing appears to be a dark green, diagonally-buttoned, long-sleeved tailcoat that is red on the inside, with black and gold trimming and pink cuffs. Along with this, she wears a black, long-sleeved shirt beneath the suit and light-tan pants with black shoes.
He then hears shouting and turns to see Ruby and Yang once again, surprisingly with the Schnee Heiress. They also seem to be arguing. So Torinn decides to cut his observations of his future classmates short and intervene. He begins marching towards the three, only to bump into someone and knock them down, causing said someone to let out a startled yelp.
'I really need to start watching where I'm going, it seems.' Torinn notes to himself with a sigh. He looks down to see a young woman with fair skin, long messy blonde hair tied in a single braid and dark-blue eyes. She is wearing a black short-sleeved hoodie covered by a white diamond-shaped chest plate and a pair of white spaulders.
"My apologies, I did not see you." Says Torinn, reaching out for the girl's hand.
"Really? How do you miss someone right in fro...oh" The girl then notices Torinn height, "your tall."
"So, I've been told." Says Torinn as he helps the girl to her feet with ease, like she weighs nothing at all.
"Strong too." Notes the girl with some awe.
Torinn smiles, "Again, so I've been told. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Torinn Norixius, son of Sulhazar, son of Donaar."
"Joan Arc, short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, guys love it." The young woman states proudly.
Torinn hums in response.
Joan seemed surprised by that answer, "Uh, aren't you going to ask if they do or not?"
"I have no reason to doubt your claim." Says Torinn.
The two's conversation is then interrupted by Headmaster Ozpin stepping onto the stage and gives his welcoming speech which, although short, is rather blunt. He states that all he sees in the students is wasted energy in need of purpose, which they believe knowledge will free them from. However, knowledge will only carry them so far, and it is up to them to take the first step.
