Sunlight starts to peek into her window as the sun rises in all its heated glory. Kara wakes up and starts her morning stretches then continues her morning routine. She was about to head outside to jog when the sound of crazed howling filled with eagerness at the chance to hunt new victims stops her in her tracks. Snapping Kara out of her daze before she can walk out to her demise. Instead she calls her friend Lori to see what's happening in New York currently.
"Turns out if you do happen to get infected the symptoms start 3 days afterward,for example if you were bit then you would develop a fever,then painful boils and blisters all over the neck and chest after a week and if they burst they release an airborne strain that is highly contagious." Lori pauses and takes a sip of something, 'probably coffee knowing Lori.' Kara quickly explains all that's happened, including the part that her mom's one of the twenty survivors. "Oh My God! Are you okay?!" Lori exclaims worriedly,obviously concerned for her friend's safety. "Wait don't you have a lab? My mom can try to find a cure,after all she was researching the virus."
"Ok I'm going to take one of the family choppers,be there in an hour or two. Bye!" Lori hung up the phone leaving Kara with the eerie silence of the house.
"Who was that?" Kara yelps upon hearing someone seemingly coming from thin air. Kara turns to see her dad wiping the sleep from his eyes with his left hand and a cup of coffee in the other. "Oh it's just you dad. I was on the phone with Lori she's coming in a family chopper to come pick us up." Her dad drops his coffee mug in surprise,not expecting help to come this soon. "I'll go wake up your mom and let her know and let her know the good news - help is on the way."
