"What's the meaning of this Grayson?" Damian asked glaring at Nightwing as he stood next to Aqualad. The senior titan coughed and responded,
"Well Robin, Kaldur here came with some interesting developments in our.... joint investigation I guess we could call it." Raven crossed her arms and murmured,
"You could." This earned her a glance from Damian and a snicker from the girl who came to get her and Damian, apparently Zatanna.
"Anyway, their Robin has had a break in the case, he thinks he's found Psimon's employer. Aqualad and his team have offered to help us finish dealing with this mission before we return to the Tower and pick up Starfire and Wonder Girl." Nightwing continued shooting the half-demon a pointed look. She rolled her eyes and Damian inadvertently frowned with concern.
"Is there anything we have to do?" Robin asked raising an eyebrow.
"Come try and help me expedite this download process, their Robin has already hacked into their network but there's a lot of information to sift through." Nightwing responded. Damian surreptitiously squeezed Raven's hand and walked over to the computer. Zatanna walked up to Raven and said,
"How about we go help your team and show these boys how it's done?" Raven grinned and the two of them walked out of the room. 'Show these boys how it's done'? Who talks like that? Damian grumbled mentally.
"Zatanna does." Kaldur said completely unbidden earning an outraged look from the young Wayne.
"Don't worry I didn't read your mind, she just has that general affect on people." He added good naturedly.
(Meanwhile)
"Taeh esoht 'snopaew latem!" Zatanna exclaimed and suddenly all of the H.I.V.E agents surrounding Beast Boy and Kid Flash dropped their guns with a more or less collective shriek. Once they were all disarmed Raven sent a wide beam of energy raking over them, leaving them all incapacitated and the boys terrified. The two boys made their way over to the girls and Wally brazenly said,
"Thanks babe, I guess you couldn't help but want to save me, huh?" Raven gave him a level headed stare and replied,
"You're right, I couldn't, after all saving helpless bystanders is part of the job." Wally sighed as Zatanna and Garfield laughed their heads off. Raven just rolled her eyes and made a portal.
"This will bring you to Kaldur at the rondeveux point." She said nodding for the two of them to go through. Wally gave her a flirtatious smile and asked, "So can you make portals to go anywhere?" She glared at him and stated,
"Don't make me send you to hell." At this point Garfield stepped in and said,
"Seriously dude she can do it, I've seen it first hand." With that the young speedster closed his mouth and the boys stepped through the portal. Once they were gone the girls walked in silence for a spell before Zatanna spoke up.
"So you can make portals to hell as in the actual place?" She asked sounding awestruck. Raven nodded and replied,
"My father was a demon, practically the devil, so it's kinda easy for me." Zatanna Pursed her lips and said,
"That must be hard, having a demon for a dad, mine was possessed by a lord of order early November. I'm not sure if I'll ever get him back......" Raven placed a comforting hand on Zatanna's shoulder and said, "I'm sure you will."
