"hey mom we got your call." lance said. "he's up stairs honey" lance's mother said. lance began to walk up the stairs. "and lance" "yeah" he said. "I'm sorry about sam." lance's mother said. lance looked down. "thanks mom" he said with his voice breaking.
lance walked up stairs as he went into the guest room. keith lay sobbing under the sheets. lance walked into the room and sat next to him. soft sobs were heard. "keith" lance said as he put a soft hand on his lover's shoulder. his lover shot up and hugged him. his lover sobbed as he soaked lance's jacket.
lance held him close as he also cried. "he'll be alright. the doctors are going to take care of him" lance said.

keith sniffed as he buried his face into lance's jacket. lance rubbed keith's back as his lover sobbed. "it's all my fault" keith sobbed. "no no it's not" lance said. "i didn't make it fast enough. he could die lance. die" keith sobbed. "you got there as fast as you could. and he'll be fine" keith said.
lance held keith in his arms as they slowly fell asleep.
